"Hello you're through to Victoria Police, how can I help?" A tired voice bellowed through the phone. "Hello? Police! I've just heard gunshots next door!" The women frantically screamed through the phone. The operator on the other phone quickly rose from his seat as he heard the word 'gunshots' "Okay ma'am, can you please let me know the address." The operator was prepared to write the call up as soon as they could. "I live at 1..1...322 Murphy Street, ne-xt doors number 1231." The women was audibly scared of what she heard, the operator knew this and he remained calm. They could hear over the phone a baby crying in the background and whispers. The women could hear on her side of the phone, typing. "Ok, can you see anything out the window? Do you know how many people live there?" Their was a brief pause. "Hello?" The operator beckoned through the phone to the women. "Y-yes! Sorry, I can't see anything. Next door is a guy, I'm sorry I don't know his name. I-m scar-ed please." Once again their was another brief pause as typing could be heard. "Okay ma'am did you see anyone go in the house at all before this and how many gunshots you heard?" The operator questioned once more. "N-no! I think I heard two or three" She replied.
The operator sent the call through to the Dispatcher and the Control Room Inspector was made aware of what had just occurred, due to the risk of gunshots being heard. The call had to be reviewed by the Inspector first. "Okay ma'am, the Police will be on their way. Please stay inside." The call had ended.
It was only three minutes since the call had ended. Two Victorian Police Holden Commodores raced down Murphy Street from either side. Both cars quickly screeched to halt outside 1231 Murphy Street, their red and blues lights flashed all around the once quiet neighborhood. It very soon alerted the neighbours who can peeking through the windows at was going on. In the first vehicle was Constable Gavin and Holloway, whilst the second featured Senior Constable Tyler and Constable Dennis. Victoria Police were still wary after the 88' Walsh Street Police shootings which took two of their own. All four officers quickly withdrew their sidearms which was Smith & Wesson revolver as they quickly surrounded the house. Tyler signaled to Gavin and Holloway to go through the front whilst himself and Dennis was to take the back. They quickly moved as they could as Tyler and Dennis scaled the fence into the backyard and lined up near the door. Once both sides were covered, Gavin and Holloway quickly noticed the front door was open still and radioed it in silently to their colleagues at the back. In they went as Gavin and Holloway creeped the front door quietly as possible, whilst Tyler and Dennis found the backyard door was also unlocked.
'Police, entering the building! Show yourselves..."
Silence echoed through the home.
"Police!"
"Police.."
Silence once again echoed through the home.
The home was tidy and neat. Gavin thought straight away, this was not a ordinary burglary that has gone wrong. The home was big and had multiple rooms, it was long before all four Constables met each other in the hallway. Tyler signaled to Gavin and Holloway to make way upstairs whilst himself and Dennis continued finishing the other rooms. As more rooms were cleared, the home was still tidy. They didn't see anyone inside or nor did they see any bullet holes anywhere. As they cleared the last room, Dennis moved out to the hallway. "Got a door..." He whispered to Tyler. Gavin and Holloway also came down the stairs as they finished clearing upstairs. Tyler nodded and Dennis huddled behind himin a line. Tyler was first and he tried to door, it was open. He peeked inside once he had opened the door. He then looked behind. "Basement." Tyler and Dennis then moved into the basement quietly as possible whilst Gavin and Holloway remained upstairs. As they moved down the stairs one by one, the footsteps of the two officers could easily be heard. As they got lower and lower, they saw bare feet on the ground, followed by a whole body. Blood has splattered all over the wall and soaked the basement floor completely. As the two officers looked around with their revolvers aimed high. They moved closer towards the body. Tyler instantly recognized who it was.
It was Sonny Benevueto. The leader of Honoured Society and one of the Melbournes biggest underworld leaders.

The Honoured Society was a Calabrian 'Ndrangheta group that was created all the way back in the 60s by Frank Benevueto. The father of Sonny. They had been long involved in Melbournes underworld and linked to controlling Melbournes fruit and vegetable market. Victoria Police established the Honoured Society as Melbournes top group that was linked with all types of crime in the city. Sonny's second in command Gianfranco Condello was seen as the man by Victoria Police who was the brains of the operation. Gianfranco was 46 years old, unhealthy and overweight. His girlfriend of 6 years had always complained that Condello needed to lose weight. He hated the amount of moaning that had occurred from his girl and ignored it for months, however secretly he knew she was right. A doctors checkup had led to Condello being told he was on his way to diabetes if he didn't start losing weight and eating right. Condello was prolific fast food eater and always avoided healthy eating. He didn't care about exercise, exercise to him was him walking around Melbourne doing his daily work for the Honoured Society. A health scare however changed it all for Condello, he knew straight away the doctor and his girlfriend was right. He needed to change and fast.
Condello had only began his new rigorous training routine in the past two weeks. He had ditched fast food and exercised on a regular. He lived around the corner from the River Gum Creek and it was perfect place for him to do jogging each time. Condello had woke up just fifteen minutes earlier for his daily jog, it was bright and sunny but at the same time a cold draft blew through Melbourne. His girlfriend was still fast asleep. He did his usual routine of brushing his teeth, drinking some orange juice and healthy cereal before he placed on of his new Adidas Originals tracksuits. This one was his favourite, it was bright blue however he liked the look of it. As he opened the front door, he swiftly left his front porch. He shivered a little but took in a deep breath in and out, closing the front door behind him as he began his jog. He took his usual route to the Creek, avoiding any roads on the way there and he began his jog. Condello had aimed to jog for three miles around the creek this morning, aiming his target by the end month to be five miles. He smiled as he entered the creek through Henley Place.
His heart was pumping already, Condello knew he was overweight but wanted to continue on track for his target. He looked around him and saw people on bicycles and also doing jogging like him. He continued further and further down the reserve. He avoided the waters, keeping close to the grasslands. One male along the way laughed at him. Bellowing under his breath. "Fatboy." Condello looked him scornfully, wanting to turn around and punch him. But he avoided the male and continued on.
It was six minutes into his jog as he approached underneath a small bridge next to a riverbed. At this point, Condello was sweating profusely and sweat patches has marked all over his Adidas tracksuit. He stopped just as he approached the hole underneath the bridge to take a breath. He went over to a riverbed to wash his face. As he knelt over to breathe he looked to the floor as sweat poured down onto the ground. He was heavily breathing and he was to trying to catch his breath. "Gotta keep going... gotta keep going." He said under his breath. He got back up looking up. A barrel of semi automatic handgun with a silencer was in his face. Condello eyes widen as he looked at a stocky male that was wearing all black and his face was covered completely by a balaclava. Condello took a big gulp, he didn't want to die here. It was a few seconds after he realised what happened and Condello wondered why the trigger had not been pulled. He was quickly thinking. "Go for his gun."
"Go for his gun." His mind repeated.
As Condello was to go for this action, a simple thud was heard. Condello was struck with sharp pain, as he fell to the floor. He looked up.
Three more thuds were heard as Condello life has just ended in a instant. Blood had quickly poured all around the floor and was leaking into the riverbed. The balaclava clad man ran in the direction where he appeared from. Entering an awaiting car, disappearing before the body was discovered.
