My Government has asked that I contact you to discuss the possibility of opening up Yugoslav markets to Belgian consumer goods in a manner that is mutually beneficial to our respective interests.

We have to offer the following items:

Foodstuffs
Beer
Diamonds
Machinery

In exchange for

Iron
Vehicles

We trust that this exchange between us if agreed to will bring forth a new era of mutual prosperity between our two countries.

We understand that Yugoslavia is a non aligned federal republic with a market socialist economy dating back to the Titoist Era and While it is true that Belgium is committed to liberal parliamentary democracy and diplomatic neutrality abroad, we would also like to create a passport free zone to allow for commerce and the free passage of all something we feel very strongly about and would reasonably hope your country does as well.

Sincerely,
Kristopher Reensma

Dear Kristopher Reensma, Foreign Minister of Belgium,

I would first offer my apologies for the delay in my response to this message. Things in Yugoslavia have become quite busy as of late.

Yugoslavia would be more than content importing foodstuffs, beer, and machinery from Belgium in exchange for our iron and vehicles. We are exporting our iron for 1,500,000.00$ and our vehicles for 1,300,000.00$, that would total Belgium's imports from us to 2,800,000.00$. What is Belgium currently offering its exports of foodstuffs, beer, and machinery for?

Regarding our ideology, yes, we have revived the ideology of Josip Tito. In the last elections, Vera Blagojević was voted by the people to become the President of the Presidency of neo-Yugoslavia and with it the revival of our socialist ideals. We pride ourselves in Yugoslavia's neutrality, the same neutrality that Tito had Yugoslavia enter after the split with the Traitor of the People, Joseph Stalin. Our neutrality will impose peace in Yugoslavia, and hopefully the region.

While I cannot offer a free passport zone between our two nations, Yugoslavia would be open to having a free visa zone, if that is something Belgium is open for as well.

Best Wishes,
Vladislav Jovanović
Minister of Foreign Affairs

Dear Foreign Minister Jovanović, there's no need to apologize. I've been on state visit to Egypt with The King of The Belgians for the last three weeks so I understand the momentary lapses in communication.

I am most pleased to hear of your country's willingness to import foodstuffs, beer, and machinery in exchange for Iron and vehicles at the requested prices listed in your previous email. Belgium is willing to exports its foodstuffs and at $1,000,000.00 and $7,000,000.00 respectively with Machinery at 5,000,000.00. At this time, we have three ships on hand which are available for the import of Belgian products into Yugoslavia.

On the subject of Yugoslavia politically speaking, I am inclined to congradulate your new head of state on having assumed power and inform you of my administration's sympathy for Yugoslavia's commitment to the continuation of pluralism at home and non alignment abroad with the understanding that this system is an essential component in taming nationalist sentiments and foreign aggression in the Balkans.

On a final note, my country is willing to enter into a visa free zone with Yugoslavia seeing as this shall prove highly advantageous for our tourist industry.

Sincerely,
Kristopher Reensma
