Minister Jovanovic, Thank you for your swift and kind reply. I see our foreign policies have much in common. Just a Yougoslavia, Egypt under the Safar presidency has opted for a foreign policy fo neutrality. Even to the point where the Arab Republic of Egypt is currently one of the veyr few nations not subject to the jurisdiction of the General Assembly, as we opted to not be part of it. We consider such organizations to be potentially a threat to national sovereignty as we would be giving a way the faculty to have the monopoly of decision taking in our internal affairs. With tht said, we do make an effort instead to cultivate strong bilateral ties with likeminded and friendly nations, to promote foreign commerce and to improve the quality of lives of our citizens through different kinds of agreements. Perhaps a good starting point would be to discuss the potential establishment of new trade routes between our nations, and also the opening of new air routes between our capitals to increase bilateral exchange in terms of tourism and investment. We agree with you; a foreign entity should have no say in how the elected leaders of the people govern the nation. I am happy to hear that your nation wishes to form strong bilateral relations with us. When it comes to trade, Yugoslavia can offer the following: electrical machinery and equipment at 1,250,000.00$ per route, vehicles at 1,300,000.00$ per route, iron and steel at 1,500,000.00$ per route, plastic and plastic articles at 1,250,000.00$ per route, and rubber and rubber articles at 1,250,000.00$ per route. Whatever we decide in trade must be done via the ports of Montenegro as Serbia lacks any access to the sea. We also currently lack any form of vessel that will be able to transport our goods back to Egypt, therefore Egypt will have to import and export. Minister Jovanovic, We did not know that. Certainly that puts our relation on a very special level, since we could coordinate political actions in the future if needed. Sovereignty has to be preserved at all costs. We could discuss opening the egyptian market to yugoslav vehicles and plastic. In return, we would like to supply egyptian petroleum to your nation. We can also offer fruits, copper, gold and fertilizers. As for the vessels, until your nation has its own ships available, we could offer doing all trade with egyptian merchant navy ships. Finally, regarding the air routes, we could start with daily flights between Cairo and Belgrade on EgyptAir's 737-800s. Would tht be in order? Minister Jovanovic, Excellent we will immediatly submit the corresponding paperwork and permits to set up the routes between Alexandria and the port Yugoslavia employs in Montenegro, could you please indicate us which one it is? As much as I understand, the Arab Republic of Egypt does support the international law concept of territorial integrity, and it is undeniable that in the recent past, the days of glory in the balkans where clearly under a unified rule. I apologize, I should have specified. My inquiry in regarding the nations of Montenegro, Croatia, Bosnia, Slovenia, Macedonia, and Kosovo. We believe that all of these nations, at their core, are of the Yugoslav people and we also believe that one day our region of the world will see unity and thrive once more. However, I understand that a foreign nation may see this as troubling due to the Yugoslav Wars that have ended only slightly more than a year ago. Yugoslavia would like to know Egypt's stance on a unified Yugoslavia or even simply your stance on the events of the Yugoslav Wars. I would also like to acquire Egypt's stance on the nations such as the United States and the United Kingdom. While Yugoslavia is neutral, I have heard of the situation with Iraq. It is certain that soon, if not already, these two nations will be sending as many troops to Iraq and the Middle East as they can just like they had done with the Balkans during the Yugoslav Wars.
