Racing is back! After an eventful 1998 season which was cut short by financial Turmoil within the IRC and after the collapse of the Argentine Government which supported a majority of the championship financially, the private company Liberty Media has bought the IRC and official renamed it Formula 1! Formula 1 will work almost completely the same as the IRC and the season will regularly start each year in the Month of March. Due to the collapse of the IRC, it was decided that this season begin in the first week of June and end in the Month of January to make up for lost time. A maximum of 12 teams(24 Cars) will be instituted for each season and will be served on a first come, first serve basis(This is liable to change in certain circumstances).

Cities(Nations as well) may now submit their applications for potiental racetracks for the 1999 season. The track may be an existing track already used in past IRC races, a well known track within the nation(Suitable for an F1 Car), or applications may be made for tracks that can be built*. Team Applications for the upcoming season are also open and will close in (2) weeks(1 week IRL), please fill out the form below on order to register.


Rules and Regulations:

The Championship will start two weeks(1 week IRL) after the announcement of the upcoming season. All Nations can register 1 team containing up to 2 cars/drivers, and up to 1(2 for Nations holding World Power Status) national circuit(s) to be included within the championship calender and to represent an official race event.

Each race will take place on the first days of each month (in-game), and between races, the teams will be able to adjust the specs of their cars, fine-tune it for upcoming races or participate in un-official events.

The Championship will have a Drivers Ranking and a Constructors Team Ranking. Drivers and teams will receive points for both these rankings depending on their final position on each individual official race. At the end of the season, the driver and team with the most points will be the Champions, and obtain the Grand Prize-$1,500,000,000 USD+A Special Nation Bonus TBA

How will it work?
Each team (up to 2 drivers or cars) will have at the beginning of the season the opportunity to assign 15 points to the development of its car. Each car has 5 attributes:

Acceleration
Braking
Speed
Maneuverability
Endurance

Each attribute can be between 1 and 10, being 10 the highest possible "performance".

Each attribute will have an direct impact on the cars performance depending on the circuit/track.

The tracks, on which each race is held, will have attributes as well*

Length
Laps
Turns
Straights
Tire

*This will be determined by myself after looking at the specs of the Races Offered, Races that are built by Nations will have to state their specific attributes, ie length, laps, Turns, and straights(can also submit a picture instead)
Each car attribute correlates to a track attribute and interacts to establish the cars final "value" for the race. The higher the final value is for that race, the higher the chances for that car to perform well and rank higher.

In addition, the driver contributes with "experience points" to this final value. Driver experience points are obtained through finishing races, winning races, and completing seasons.
Teams may adjust 2 points for their car in between each race by submitting it to me, for instance you may take two endurance points and add them to speed or vice versa. Additionally, like IRL F1 teams, teams may add a single point to their car specs for all races by spending $35,000,000 USD, this acts like real life F1 where teams can have a significant advantage by spending more than others. The cap for this is $155,000,000 and teams will not be permitted to upgrade their car further, only two ”upgrades” are allowed in between races and must be RP in some way, this does not have to be lengthy and could be a 2-3 sentence statement.

These values will be calculated by myself using the previously used multiplier formula, this is based largely on the original system which used xkoranate, you can review the specific details here.

Entry Fee and all other payments

There is a $50,000,000 fee to enter the championship and this should be made out to the Liberty Media Formula 1 bank account. All purchases will be made to this corporate account.

IMPORTANT: Turkey is not related to F1 and does not own the org. Liberty Media owns F1 and is majority owned by Turkish Shareholders who are not Politically Motivated and are absolutely neutral. Turkey will own its own F1 Team but It will not get a special bonus and the team will never receive bonus RP points and or a luck multiplier.

Here you will find the "math" behind the racing, how each car attribute interacts with the different track attributes and how the development level of each impacts.

Before each race, each driver will have a "skill value" calculated for the race, based on the cars attributed (the 15 assigned points), plus each driver will have their own personal bonuses applied. Depending on the track, the "skill value" will change, since the layout of each track has an impact of the cars performance. For example, cars with better speed will have a higher skill value with more straights, and a car with better endurance will have a higher skill value in races with more laps. This final "skill value" will be introduced into the simulation software, which will generate the race result.

Note: Driver Skill points for past seasons will be rewarded, but points for championships will not be rewarded. So, if the team participated in IRC 1998 season then they will be rewarded 4 points.

Each car will have 1 pilot assigned at the beginning of the season. If there is no announced modification, it will be assumed that the same driver is always behind the wheel of the car. A driver will earn skills, which will be added to the cars final value for each race according to the following table:

Each Nation can register 1 track to be part of the Season Calender. The nation can freely determine the characteristics of the track he is presenting, having to use the pre-defined parameters as guide:

- Track lenght: Min. 3km - Max. 7 km.
- Laps: Min. 30 - Max. 60
- Type: Street track, Road Track or Race Track
- Curves: Min. 4 - Max. 16
- Straights: Min. 4 - Max. 12
