The Indian Ministry of Defence has opened bids for countries across the globe to help the Indian Armed Forces in choosing an Infantry Fighting Vehicle to be used throughout India and its overseas territories. The Indian Ministry of Defence has no specific favored type of IFV, all that is required is that it can withstand extreme weather such as heat and cold, amphibious, and can climb through the mountainous regions of northern India. The Infantry Fighting Vehicle's amphibious abilities are not mandatory but will be looked on more favorably compared to those which aren't amphibious.
The Indian Ministry of Defence will require the following information in the bids:
- Specification Sheet of the IFV
- Is a Domestic Production License Available?
_ If Not, Price per Vehicle
- IFV's Most Favorable Climate
