7 Wilton Terrace, Dublin
Sometime in the middle of the afternoon

In the distance of a cool and crisp fall afternoon in the middle of November, a black van pulls up to the curb no more then a block away from the Canadian Embassy. The Irish Republican Army Council had received intell notifying them that prime minister Justin Trudeau had plans to pay a visit to Canada's ambassador to Èire in order to address a few matters of what seemed to be pressing concern regarding the growing tension lingering in the air thanks to a decision on the part of The Irish Government to withdraw its recognition of the 1921 partition.

Out of the van, came four men wearing trenchcoats prepared to strike with an undying passion for their work. For the next 5 minutes or so three of the men proceeded to walk at a brisk pace so as to reach their destination on time and complete their objectives as efficently as possible while one was tasked with driving the van towards the embassy.

When they arrived, one of the men requested entry onto the grounds of the embassy. "Good afternoon, me and few of my staff members are from the local maintanance company and have been tasked with inspecting the plumbing." They waited for a minute.

The Canadian Embassy in Dublin is not actually on any "grounds" per se, rather just in a regular office building on Wilton Terrace of which anybody can enter through a revolving door at the front (as viewed from street view). Upon entering the building, they would see the reception desk and 2 RCMP officers from the Embassy Protection Unit standing there.

"You're here for the plumbing? Well I don't have you listed here, what's the name of the person who requested you?"

"Yes, yes we are." One of the operatives said nervously. "The company I work for was suppose to be added a few weeks ago....there must've been a delay."

"Who was the person that contacted you in regards to the plumbing?"

One of operatives pull out his Uzi Submachine Gun and squeezed the trigger with the firearm aimed at one of the embassy security members. This abrupt action was soon followed by another burst of fire from another operative.

The Receptionist would go under the desk as they begin to fire and would press the alarm button, suddenly the doors to inside the Embassy would lock and an alarm would go out throughout the Embassy. The Prime Minister and Ambassador would be several stories up having tea in the Ambassador's office. The alarm would cause the RCMP Protective Detail to go into action, they would lock the door and surround the Prime Minister and Ambassador with their weapons drawn, 4 of the officers would head down the hall way and down the stairwell to the commotion. Two would head outside and stand in the corridor outside the Ambassador's office.

On the ground floor, staff would take cover under desks and anything they could find. The other RCMP officer would draw his weapon and fire off at the original operative who shot his colleague. As he would be outnumbered it wouldn't take long for him to also be shot. 8 other RCMP officers who were patrolling the Embassy building would rush to the front office. They would take cover behind desks, but were unable to reach the operatives as the doors had been locked, the receptionist was left to fend for herself under the desk. The Garda would be called immediately to the Embassy.

The fourth operative would pull up in the black van and would see to it that the wounded operative and the two remaining operatives were able to flee before any further casaulties were inflicted upon them by the Canadians. The van speeded off down the street as one of the operatives contacted headquarters - "requesting permission to abort mission, asap....casualties inflicted..." on the other side of an encrypted line a voice could be heard. "Permission granted...."

The receptionist would be amazed that they left and she was left unhurt. She would not get up from her desk until the Garda had arrived and made sure the coast was clear. An RCMP officer would knock on the door and she would press the button to open it. He would tell her they've gone, the 8 other officers and 4 of the PM's protective detail would scurry into the front office with weapons drawn and making sure it was clear.

A few of them would approach their two wounded colleagues on the ground who were bleeding heavily, they would begin applying pressure. "CALL FOR TWO AMBULANCES!" The receptionist would pick up the phone and dial 999 for the National Ambulance Service and also tell them to hurry up with the Garda response.

"Please be patient, madame...an ambulance has been dispatch to your location and is due to arriving with the next ten minutes....as for the Garda, a few officers are one their way....stay strong." The receptionist said quietly.

Due to the lack of response from the Irish Emergency Services, which would be seen as no more than deliberate, the Embassy staff would begin taking matters into their own hands, the two wounded RCMP officers would be put into an Embassy vehicle and swifted away to The Royal Hospital Donnybrook in the back of the cars. The remaining Embassy staff would have orders to split up, to avoid being targeted as a large group, and to take buses, trams and trains back to their homes to gather their families and personal items and to go to Dublin Airport where they will re-group and board the RCAF aircraft there. They would also be ordered to destroy documents which were sensitive in the Embassy and would put them through paper shrededs. The Prime Minister and his wife would be surrounded by their personal protection group as they whisked him away out of the Embassy along with the Ambassador and would head into an Embassy car which would take them straight to Dublin Airport. The officers would be highly alert and would have their guns out while inside the vehicles, one on each side of the Prime Minister. They would drive up to the plane on the tarmac and the Prime Minister would board it with his wife. The officers would be outside the aircraft with their weapons drawn, ready for anything as the Prime Minister made his way up the stairwell. The RCAF Protection Force for the aircraft would also be standing around it outside. The Prime Minister would relax with his wife onboard as they sat their and waited. The doors would be shut for his protection but the aircraft would remain stationary, awaiting the embassy staff to return and possibly British nationals. Due to its VIP configuration it would only have room to transport roughly 100 passengers, so priority was given to women and children and to embassy staff.

The Embassy staff would arrive at the airport and would begin to board the plane on the tarmac. The protective detail would continue to remain alert and the embassy staff would have their IDs check to verify they worked for the Canadian Embassy. It was decided that the RCMP officers would remain in the Dublin hospitals until they made a full recovery and at such time the Canadian Government would fund their expenses to get back to Canada and be honourably discharged with full benefits and entitlements and a redundancy package for up to a year. Once all the embassy staff had boarded the RCAF CC-150 Polaris, the protective detail would re-board and it would taxi to the runway and would take off bound for London. Soon after it would touch down at London-Heathrow and a car from the High Commission would pick up the Prime Minister and a bus would be chartered to take the embassy staff to the High Commission where they will be re-stationed to deal with matters pertaining to the Republic of Ireland, the Ambassador would be sent to another country and stationed there as the Ambassador. The High Commissioner to the UK would now also become the non-residential Ambassador to Ireland. The Prime Minister would be sent to Canada House where he would meet with the High Commissioner and arrange a meeting with the UK officials.
