Bula! Vacala tiko! Romania's interest in leasing a building for an embassy in the Republic of Fiji is heard. Though the President wonders what you mean by "protect those scattered small nations" as Fiji is in no danger no need of protection. Our incoming coast guard utilizing ships designed and built by the Irish government should be more than sufficient to police the waters... and "protect" us from the sovereignty threatening fishermen. Bula! Vacala tiko! We have never accepted any proposal nor accepted embassy, nor discussed or considered armed personnel in Fiji. Due to lack of infrastructure the President is looking into alternatives including the possibility of an honorary consulate, allowing to assign a none official government to oversee business and visas from your nation to the Republic of Fiji. This private citizen will not have guard nor weapons and will be seen as a private citizen and therefore adhere fully to Fijian law. We have a one bedroom villa in Suva which has a rent of $300 USD a month. To which we recommend for your consulate to lease. Aloha, Mara, Minister of Foreign Affairs Republic of Fiji
