The Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands presents its compliments to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and has the honour to request that the Dutch Ambassador to the Republic of Thailand may have the opportunity to meet with a high-level representative of your government.

The Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands remains concerned regarding the current state of affairs between the Republic of Thailand and Lao People's Democratic Republic. The Embassy therefore hopes that the Thai Government would be able to afford the opportunity for the Dutch Ambassador to meet with a representative of the Thai Government in order to receive an update on the conflict and whether the Kingdom of the Netherlands can contribute to a sustainable peace in any way. In the event that such a meeting is not possible at the moment, then the Embassy kindly requests that a written update be provided.

The Embassy avails itself of this opportunity to renew to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs the assurances of its highest consideration.

To the Netherlands Embassy,

Thailand receives such an honor from the message from the embassy of Netherlands presence in our country. We are glad to learn that the Dutch government is concerned about the current instability and is paying attention to it. Thailand appreciates the Netherlands embassy's request, and we will arrange for Deputy Prime Minister Korn Dabbaransi to meet with the Dutch ambassador. The Dutch ambassador will be expected to attend the meeting tomorrow at ten a.m., and we will arrange hospitality for any attendees. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs is waiting for an update on the meeting.

The following day the Ambassador stepped out of the embassy and took a seat in the waiting diplomatic vehicle attached to the diplomatic mission. It would be a short drive from the embassy to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs where the car would pull up in front. The DKDB (Royal and Diplomatic Security Service) officer would step out and open the door for the Ambassador. The two would head into the building and make their way towards the reception while an aide would drive the car to the nearest parking lot and wait to pick up the Ambassador later.

That morning, the Dutch ambassador will arrive at Thailand's Foreign Ministry a few minutes early. The vehicle would drive up to the main entrance, which the security had opened for other employees. Five Thai soldiers are in full combat gear, and they are around the premises. A few NIA operative reporters left the building as the driver parked the car. While the DKDB is serving the Dutch ambassador, they converse. "Can you tell me who they are?" "It's the Dutch and their security service," | "I was under the impression that there would be no arrangement today. We still have to deal with the map and the reporting." They then proceed to wander around the building, speaking with soldiers. The Dutch ambassador and his security detail will have to enter the premises on foot. They'll gather at the reception desk, where a few officials will be waiting. There is a television in the room that is showing the peace talks. They're having a Thai chat with the receptionist. "I believe he is overly invested in this project. It's as though he's attempting to prove his worth." | | "My department's workload has just increased. "I heard he has a plan to—-" They notice the Dutch ambassador has arrived because they are now close. "Perhaps you'd like to join us in the Foreign Ministry, sir?" They then instruct the ambassador to proceed to the reception desk. The receptionist will do the document to record the ambassador's attendance on that day before having one of them leading the Dutch to the meeting room. They will see many workers walking around with their business before arriving at the meeting place. The ambassador will have to enter the room where inside is like an office for temporal use, which is for the meeting.

The Ambassador and her personal protection officer followed the directions given to them by the staff of the Ministry. While the Ambassador would enter the meeting room the DKDB Officer remained outside, taking position besides the door. The Ambassador would wait for the arrival of the official she would be speaking with.

The Dutch ambassador would find Deputy Prime Minister Korn Dabbaransi waiting for her on the sofa, which had a table when she entered the room. They can enjoy tea, coffee, and a light meal during the meeting. The Deputy would rise and greet the ambassador with Wai. "Ambassador Angelien Beulens, good morning. I have heard that you get assigned to the Dutch diplomatic mission in Thailand. How are things doing over here? I hope it will make you feel at ease and like you've found a new home." They will then sit down and have a brief conversation before beginning the discussion.

The Ambassador stepped forward, "Deputy Prime Minister, thank you for making some time in your schedule to meet me. I have been taking the time to meet my staff and delving into the majestic local culture." The Ambassador followed the Deputy Prime Minister and took her place on the sofa.

"I believe you have been informed of the request of information regarding the current state of affairs of the conflict between Thailand and Laos. My government is looking to gain an understanding of the current situation and how we may be able to assist in the fostering of a sustainable peace."

Korn, the Deputy Prime Minister, looks out the window at the outside before returning. "Take a look at the ambassador in the sky. It's a plane releasing the Thai and Laos smoke flags into the sky all over Bangkok. You understand what it means, and I'm sure you've been keeping up with the local news. We're having a peace conference, and from what I've seen, it's coming to a thrilling conclusion." A Foreign Affairs employee enters the room after a brief moment. "Oh, my god, please accept my apologies for my poor demeanor. I'm not aware that Miss Ambassador has arrived. Turn on the television, please. We're having a party." Korn, follow the employee's instructions. The Thai Prime Minister and the Lao General Secretary sign the peace treaty, ending the hostilities, on television. He had a conversation with the Dutch ambassador. "Today, you happen to be in the right place at the right time. The war is over. Please don't be dissatisfied since you should be delighted. If you like, I can still provide you with information."

The Ambassador turned in her seat as her gaze followed the Deputy Prime Minister and shifted towards the sky at the sound of plane engines.

"Mr Deputy Prime Minister, I wish to offer our heartfelt congratulations on achieving peace. I would certainly appreciate if you have the time to receive a summary of the talks, an update on the content of the peace agreement and what actions are planned in order to ensure that this will foster a sustainable peace in the region and allows room for stability and prosperity."

Deputy Korn would react joyfully. "I would be delighted to discuss the outcome of this peace negotiation." We'll have a lot of work to keep the peace we used to have. But it doesn't appear that Louis feels the same way." He turns to face the Foreign Affairs personnel. "Could you please contact Government House and request that the peace protocol get forwarded to us?" Thanks" The employee nods and exits. He then turns down the volume on the television. "Although I am not directly involved in current events, as I am not present at the government house, I have been following it since the morning." I am aware that the Lao government and most Lao people do not support our government on a large scale. During the war, we caused massive environmental and casualty damage in Laos. A wildfire is raging, and Australia is assisting us in putting it out. I read our intelligence report, which stated that nearly all Lao troops involved with the Thai military got killed." The fax machine then prints out the peace treaty from the negotiation. "There you have it. Please first read it."

Where both parties have agreed to maintain the status quo leading up to the war, it is prudent to declare the end of hostilities and military occupation.

Whereas the Thai government and military have witnessed the devastation caused by their aggression against other countries' territorial and territorial integrity, sovereignty, and non-interference, it is necessary to declare the Thai government liable for the catastrophe and damage caused to Laos.

Whereas Lao law enforcement agencies acting under Lao government jurisdiction have violated Thai citizens' human rights through serious physical assault, it is imperative to declare the Lao government to have official responsibility and reorganize its agencies.

The Royal Thai Armed Forces are under the direct control of the Thai Defence Ministry, which is under the Thai government's jurisdiction, which has ultimately resulted in the Laotian people suffering from the Thai Forces' imbalance superiority. There must be no military activities between the Thai and Lao governments that transcend beyond their respective borders.

Thailand and Laos had engaged in indiscriminate aggression and harsh treatment of one another's civilians and the country as a whole. Both sides must sign a peace agreement to ensure Thailand's, Laos', the region's, and the world's stability.

The Ambassador removed her reading glasses from the briefcase and placed them upon her nose as received the document from the Thai Deputy Prime Minister. She quickly skimmed over the document before looking up, as she returned the document to the Deputy Prime Minister for him to read she asked, "do you mind if I were to receive a copy which I could forward back to the Foreign Ministry in The Hague upon the conclusion of this meeting?"

Once the Deputy Prime Minister had finished reading the document the Ambassador inquired, "I congratulate your government on reaching an agreement which shall lead to a cessation of hostilities. I further note that it includes references to the human suffering which has occurred prior and during the conflict. However, I do not perceive anything which seeks to address these issues. Will your government aim to initiate diplomatic discussion with Laos in order to address the causes which led to this conflict?"

Deputy Korn stares at the ceiling while he is contemplating the answer. "I don't think the Government and the Foreign Ministry would mind if the Netherland received such copies of this protocol. They are open about this subject, and we will publish it anyways." He takes the paper to read after the Dutch ambassador hands it, and he questions the intention of the ambassador. "What do you want to do with this document? I guess that you need an achievement or a close inspection? I will ensure that the Foreign Ministry will forward the Netherland the Thai-Lao Peace Treaty. After he finishes the reading, he will have to answer the question. He glances at the television that is still on to confirm his knowledge.

"I appreciate your kind words as well as Thailand. The complex situation developed from the Lao law enforcement agencies' inhumane treatment has alleged us as an aggressor. Human suffering is the point for both sides as Thailand and Laos participate in the process. Laos has abused human rights that we all respect, and Thailand has bombarded Laos with artillery that causes wildfires. I believe the peace negotiations have stated most issues during the discussion, and we have nothing to do further. We have listed that Laos needs to reorganize its agencies that caused the conflict, but they have much resentment toward us. They stated during the interview with the news media that our prime minister is there too. The Lao General Secretary said that they would dismiss the diplomatic mission with us. They will cut all routes from Thailand to Laos, including the Thai-Lao Friendship Bridge. We have to move on, as Laos has told us.
