"You and at least seventeen other people saw something in the half-mile radius, including one of His Majesty's ministers, two police officers, and a university professor... Thank you for giving us those details, I don't think we should take up any more of your time," Norgand said.

Agent Olsen finished writing a few things in his notebook and stood up, along with Agent Norgand who opened the door for both of them. Norgand handed King Willem his card, "If you remember anything else, Your Majesty, please feel free to get in touch. Thank you for your time."

If there was nothing else to be said, then they left as quickly as they had arrived. King Willem's aircraft was probably ready by then. The Royal Police and King's Guard escorted him to the aircraft. Three fully-fueled, manned, and armed F-16s were scrambled to escort the King and his aircraft back to Dutch airspace. They did so, with exactness and professionalism.

With the end of this winter storm, all Norwegian troops returned back to their respective stations and normal readiness, including all Norwegian ships, vehicles, aircraft, and special forces units. All was normal again, and all were in port and at their stations. Finally, it was over.

The King would nod to both the agents before leaving the room to prepare for his departure. At the airport all C-5 Galaxy aircraft would be refueled and resupplied before following Norwegian ATC instructions to leave the airspace back to the Netherlands. The air-wing would head for Eindhoven Air Base following the route JP > JQ. Safely arriving at Eindhoven Air Base the aircraft would be submitted to the technicians for repairs and maintenance. Willem-Alexander would be escorted back to the Royal Palace in the Hague by the Royal Netherlands Guard. Having refreshed he would open and read the letter handed to him by Enoch.

Down south the naval task force would similarly refuel and rearm before sailing back to Den Helder Naval Base where the vessels would undergo a post-mission maintenance check. The crews would be given leave while the officer corps would begin to review the mission with Naval High Command.

When Willem broke the seal and opened the envelope, he found a hand-written letter within it. The only non hand-written thing on the paper was the letterhead, which included the Royal Coat of Arms.

We, as King-in-Council, have made an ultimate decision on the status of the relationship between the Kingdom of Norway and the Kingdom of The Netherlands. After careful consideration and consultation with my Council of State and other advisors, a Royal Resolution was written and signed by myself, the Prime Minister, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, and the Minister of Defense. A notice of this Royal Resolution will be dispatched to the Storting, and will be received before you open this letter.

It is my duty as King of Norway to inform you, the King and Head of State of The Netherlands, that my country seeks to establish Mutual Defense between Norway and The Netherlands. To accomplish this, a treaty will be written that will not only formalize the undeniable friendship between our two countries, but also clarify that our kingdoms will defend each other as if they are defending themselves. I request that you bring this to the attention of your Prime Minister. In the coming days, the Dutch Ambassador to Norway will be summoned to the Storting Building to be given the treaty so that its wording can be verified and approved by your government, assuming this is an offer you and your government find favorable.
