Udaloy II-class Destroyer Heading to the Atlantic Ocean

Operation: Atlanticheskiy
African Cold War
Classified & Encrypted
Operation Information

Sometime in 1999, the nations of the Russian Empire and the Republic of Nigeria had signed a treaty between each other where Nigeria would gain access to various Russian weaponry for its armed forces and in return the Russian Empire would receive docking rights to Nigerian ports. However, the situation with Turkey has kept the Russian government extremely busy and sending a fleet to Nigeria had been delayed until now. The Nigerian government would be notified of the fleets departure from Russia.

All vessels would be fully fueled, fully supplied, and fully armed and would depart immediately, gathering at KP just north of their ports of Murmansk Oblast.

They would follow the path of KQ > JQ > IP > IO > IN > IM > IL > IK > IJ > JJ to Nigeria and reach the nation in roughly 10 days.

Top Secret
Nigerian Defense Minister Sany Abacha would relay a message to the HIMS Kurily.

Message received. Awaiting your arrival. Due to current global crises will keep the visit low profile. Port Harcourt Naval Base will have docks open. Crews from one Kilo Class submarine and one Gepard Class frigate will be manning the rail upon your arrival but it will be closed to the public if you wish. Expectations are high. The Nigerian government views this as a first step to a state visit or summit. Best of luck.

HIMS Boris Chilikin In the Atlantic Ocean

Secret

Having now reached IN, the now designated Atlantic Ocean Fleet would have their ships refueled and resupplied one at a time by the Boris Chilikin-class fleet oiler. Before replenishment occurred, the fleet would make sure that the ocean was at safe sea level state to assure that no supplies were lost or ships damaged. Each ship would take roughly one hour to have their fuel refilled and their provisions restored.

Once each of the ships were fully resupplied, the fleet would return to their previous formation and continue sailing at roughly 15kn/hr, the Kilo-class submarine would remain snorkeling to assure the most fuel saved. They would proceed down their path of IM > IL > IK > IJ > JJ to Nigeria.

A Patrolling PC3 Orion would come upon the task force nearly as it reached IJ. Its pilot picked up on radar on the HIMS Boris Chilikin and the Destroyers. He radioed back to his superiors the contact he has made. He would then contact the oiler on a private channel previously agreed upon.

"Greetings Commander of the Chilkin. This is Captain Sacha of the Nigerian Air Force. We will escort you to Port Lagos. Our sailors are eagerly awaiting your arrival. Out."

HIMS Vice Admiral Kulakov & HIMS Vice Admiral Kulakov Arriving in Port Lagos

Secret

The fleet would follow the lead of the Nigerian Lockheed PC-3 Orion once it had made contact with them. After nearly two weeks at sea, the fleet would finally reach their destination: Port Lagos of Nigeria.

Once the fleet had arrived at port they would dock, refuel, resupply, and its sailors would finally touch ground. For the first time in Russian history, the navy had an Atlantic fleet.

This operation would be marked as completed and a diplomatic mission would begin with Nigeria shortly.

On the dock of Port Lagos a large Nigerian military contingent would await for the Russian sailors and officers to disembark down the gangplanks. There is a a Nigerian honor guard as well as what it looks like to be a Nigerian Marine Company opposite of them dressed in their dress uniforms with black AK-101's proudly at port arms. Next to the marines and honor guard are a row of BTR-90's and BPM3's IFV's on the other.

At the center awaits Defence Minister Sanny Abacha and the Secretary of the Navy, Daniel Ocho. Just as the first Russian officers appear from their ships three Mig25's screech overhead bellowing white blue and red smoke, the colors of the Russian flag.
