A classified and encrypted message would be sent to India.

To: Asin Thottumkal, President of India
From: Yuan Zhi, President of the People's Republic of China

Madam President,

First of all I wish to congratulate you to your rise of power in the world's second largest country. China and India historically share a great many things, it is my hope that our two governments will be able to undo decades of hostility and establish lasting military and economic relations as together we have the potential to strongly influence the course of global affairs. To this effect I hereby invite you to meet with myself in Beijing.

Sincerely,
Yuan Zhi

Madam President,

I appreciate your kind words Madam President. Our histories have been intertwined, not just in hostility, but in some cooperation. A new foundation of relations between our respective countries would be beneficial, not just for us, but for Asia and the world. When we can work together, we show the world that historic enemies can works towards peace. I would be delighted to meet you in Beijing.

Sincerely,

As soon as the message was received Chinese authorities would consult with their counterparts on the most effective and secure travel arrangements to make sure the Indian President was going to arrive safely. Deviating from procedure in previous negotiations the Indian President would be guided to a military airport where an armoured convoy would be able to take her to the President's residence in Beijing. There security guards already stood ready to guide her in and escort her to the Chinese President's office.

President Thottumkal took in the security efforts provided for her on this occasion. The Chinese were incredibly thorough while working with the President's Bodyguard Unit, ensuring all her requirements were met without jeopardizing their own. Upon arrival to the residence, she noticed the guards waiting. "No stone unturned" she thought, as she got out of the car and was escorted to the Office.

Where everything had been high security so far this would instantly change the very moment she entered Zhi's office. The office had already been cleared of any surveillance equipment prior and as soon as the doors were closed, there would be no way for any foreign power to get inside.

"Madam President, thank you for coming so soon in these undoubtedly turbulent times"

"It is my pleasure, thank you for inviting me into your home. With the world trying to establish order, it's growing increasingly hostile to Asia with its focus on Western power and tradition. We are cut from similar cloth: a history of violent colonization by those same powers who seek to hold onto the past. It is in this where I believe we can come to common ground," Asin said as soon as the door closed and she knew the words spoken would remain between the worlds two most powerful women.

Zhi smiled before offering the Indian President to sit. "I could not agree anymore, Asia remains torn by pitiful disputes while a continent with unified purpose could truly stand to protect the interests of our peoples. Between the two of us we rule one third of the world yet have nearly no say beyond our own borders. I believe much more than just work together, we need to become a beacon of light in an increasingly dark world. Show that two rivals can come together to protect that which they hold dearest and protect people from imperialism"

Cracking her own smile, as she seems to have found a fellow leader with the same goals on their mind. "My thoughts as well, Madam. India and China can be the united front, held as an example to all what good can come from working towards a single prosperity for all our people."

"I do have to say, this meeting is going a lot better than even I hoped" Zhi commented. "It seems clear we are on one line as far as the sovereignty of our peoples are concerned, there is great value in combining our efforts to catch up both in technology and numbers. As such I would like to propose an accord covering both military and economic cooperation, but additionally the sharing of military technology. Each of our states has developed unique capabilities, if we were to combine them we may very well catch up to our likely rivals in more than just numbers"

"I couldn't agree more. To the meeting and to pooling our research capabilities. We have some of the greatest minds in the world; a mutual sharing of technologies, concepts, and processes would ensure our success well into the future. Any potential rival would have to pool more of their resources and time, compromising their own goals in the process. The strategic initiative that we could take in such circumstances would be a phenomenal benefit to our peoples, and to Asia.

Zhi nodded at her Indian counterpart. "Very well then, in that case I believe we can have our diplomats get us the documents to solidify this alliance"

"I think for the formal part that is all for now" Zhi replied with a smile, only minutes later in what would seem to be record speed an aide walked into the room, two folders in his hands. "It looks like the treaty has been completed"

"Indeed it is, I look forward to the great things we will achieve for Asia and the world" Zhi said before adding her own signature to the document. Making it official. India and China were now going for a singular foreign policy with purpose.
