Beijing University of Technology Institute for Military Development Opened in Grand Ceremony

futuristic2.png

Huairou District, Beijing - Placed on the outskirts of Beijing it is a region one would be justified in thinking that it had no relevance to the People's Liberation Army. As of today that is different. In a grand ceremony, the Empress has opened the Institute for Military Development. Assigned to the Beijing University of Technology. The campus brings together the greatest minds in Asia, if not the world, to develop new technologies that serve both a military and civilian purpose. The campus was designed to be entirely self-sufficient and in case of an attack even fully protected. On its design Minister Gyo commented that "it is without a doubt the most advanced research institute in the world and enables all those working within it to reach their full potential".

Today's look, however, is the only one the public will get. Everything around the campus within 3km has been declared a military security zone with unauthorized access carrying with it a significant fine. The area is surrounded by a large fence and around the clock camera surveillance while the region within it is patrolled and protected by the 3rd Guard Division of the People's Liberation Army Ground Force. Combined with the no-fly zone over the entire region enforced by the 7th Fighter Division it shares the same level of security as the Forbidden Palace. While remaining vague on details, the Beijing University of Technology has confirmed that even within the campus a highly regulated security regime is maintained so no one can get anywhere they are not supposed to.

Empress Announces Diplomatic Measures Against Vietnam

file-20171121-6055-12yhg4e.png

Beijing - Following the invasion of Celestial airspace last month, the Empress has announced a package of sanctions to be taken against the Socialist Republic of Vietnam with immediate effect. The package targets economic and cross-border ties that exist between the two countries. The measures are designed to punish Vietnam for its violation of Celestial sovereignty but not rule out any future diplomacy entirely. As a safeguard against possible retribution, the Celestial Empire has called upon its citizens to return and offered diplomatic support to do so.

As part of the measure, all border crossings with Vietnam have been officially closed, no Vietnamese citizen is allowed to enter the country unless they have a visa or other documentation granting access to the Celestial Empire. The People's Liberation Army Ground Force has also been ordered to take over border protection duties from the People's Armed Police and will do so in the upcoming weeks. While existing visa will not be revoked, new visa will no longer be granted and upon expiry Vietnamese nationals must return to their country as there will be no extensions either.. The only exceptions are permanent resident(D) visa and family reunion(Q1) visa which will still be renewed. Additionally notices have been sent to any Vietnamese airline flying to the Celestial Empire that their access to Celestial airspace will be revoked in 30 days. Celestial airlines have already announced their intent to cease flights to and from Vietnam in 30 days. On the economic front the Empress has announced that effective immediately there will be a 50% tariff on all imports from Vietnam. The consulates in Ho Chi Minh City and Da Nang have been closed to all non-Chinese. The embassy in Hanoi will continue to function as normal.

The Ministry of Defense is investigating the possible involvement of the government of the province of Taiwan and the Federal Republic of the Philippines. Future sanctions against these states may follow.

The Federal Republic of the Philippines' Press Secretary Martin Andanar would publicly condemn PRC's People's Daily for maliciously mentioning the Philippines in their article.

Furthermore, the Philippines would public announce that Philippines has no capability of getting involved with any military-related operation of any state as it is rather focused with it's commercial trades and it's economy rather than China's usual military expansion and bullying especially in the South China Sea's Spratly areas.

The government of the Federal Republic of the Philippines would also tell China that they regardless of the result of their so-called investigation, China is free to go ahead with their sanction to the Philippines as Philippines simply doesn't give a damn about China. Besides, there are more countries who are way more progressive and richer than the economically-impoverished China which the Philippines can deal with.

However, Philippines clearly warns China not to test Philippines' patience and tolerance by violating Philippines' territorial waters, airspace, and cyberspace, Philippines will not hesitate in using military options.
