| PROJECT INFORMATION | Lisbon Metro Expansion: Extend and improve the Lisbon Metro system to enhance public transportation within the capital city. The main aim is to reorganize the LME to be more efficient and faster. Prioritize eco-friendly practices, such as energy-efficient trains, green station designs, and sustainable construction materials, It will use smart ticketing, alongside real-time information systems, and other technologies for a seamless passenger experience. It will also ensure a seamless integration with other transportation methods like Bus Lines, Regional Trains and the Lisbon Airport, optimizing transfer points. The stations and trains will ahve to be fully accessible, accommodating diverse needs, and providing multi-language information, bringing a city with over 1 million citizens closer together and highly mobile. Security of the passengers will also be ensured with various cameras and information systems being implemented. This project will bring strenght to the economy, revitalizing the City and bringing into to modern standards In order to not disrupt the lives of its the citizens in Lisbon, construction will be done in phases to minimize disruptions, considering off-peak hours and implementing traffic management measures. Safety will be maintained during construction and operation, with regular inspections, emergency response systems, and worker training. |
