PROJECT INFORMATION | The E-commerce Logistics Hubs located in Khon Kaen and Surat Thani are designed to be state-of-the-art facilities that streamline the storage, sorting, and transportation of goods for the e-commerce sector. With a budget of $400 million, these hubs are engineered to incorporate advanced technologies that are currently in use, aiming to optimize logistics operations and enhance supply chain management. The hubs are built on a modular design, allowing for easy scalability. Each hub covers an area of approximately 200,000 square meters and is divided into distinct zones: a Storage Area, a Sorting Facility, Cold Storage, and a Drone Launch and Retrieval Zone. The Storage Area employs Automated Storage and Retrieval Systems (AS/RS) to maximize space utilization and improve inventory management. These systems are integrated with Warehouse Management Software that tracks the real-time location and status of every item in the inventory. The Sorting Facility uses advanced conveyor belt systems equipped with weight sensors and barcode scanners for efficient sorting of packages. Automated Guided Vehicles (AGVs) are deployed to move sorted packages to their designated loading bays. The sorting process is overseen by a centralized control system that uses machine learning algorithms to continually optimize sorting efficiency based on package volume and destination. The Cold Storage section is designed to handle perishable goods and is equipped with temperature and humidity sensors that are connected to a centralized monitoring system. This ensures that perishable items are stored under optimal conditions, reducing spoilage and waste. The Drone Launch and Retrieval Zone is equipped with rapid-charging stations and automated landing pads. The drones are used for last-mile deliveries and are capable of carrying packages up to 5 kg. Flight paths are pre-programmed and monitored in real-time by a Drone Traffic Control Center located within the hub. To facilitate quick and accurate package tracking, each hub employs a Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) system. This allows for real-time tracking of packages as they move through the hub, providing both the e-commerce companies and the end customers with up-to-date information on their shipments. The hubs are also equipped with advanced security measures, including biometric access controls, 24/7 CCTV surveillance, and intrusion detection systems, ensuring the safety and integrity of stored goods. From a data management perspective, all operational data is collected and analyzed by a centralized Data Analytics Center. This center uses advanced analytics tools to optimize resource allocation, predict maintenance needs, and generate performance metrics. The E-Commerce Logistics Hub also integrates a zero-tolerance policy against any mosquito. Any personnel is authorized to utilize nuclear weapons, if obtainable, to neutralize threats. |
