PROJECT INFORMATION | In an effort to catch up with the Russian Federation and United States of America, JPLRC Hanoi, or just JPL for short, will be one of the primary labs used to help propel the Vietnamese National Space and Aeronautics Institute Hermes program, with a goal of landing a Vietnamese national on the moon by 2000. The laboratory's primary function will be the development, construction, and operation of robotic spaceraft, Earth-orbit, and astronomy missions. As a federal facility, it will be primarily be managed by the nearby Vietnamese National University, Hanoi. The facility will have thirty buildings and employ around 6,000 full-time individuals, being able to also take on around 200 internships at the same time from college students around the world and at home. |
