In an emergency broadcast Alexander Rutskoy would come onto the screen with urgent news.
"Today, at around 5:00 a.m. this morning The Russian Federation was attacked. The attack occurred at the Smolensk Nuclear Power Plant where the steam turbine to one of the reactors was damaged in an explosion. Thousands of people went without power for some time before other power plants made up for the difference. This attack on the Russian Federation was perpetuated by members of the Belorussian 5th Spetsnaz Brigade. This being in an attempt to cripple the Russian power grid during what many have called a time of weakness. We have undeniable evidence that this attack was planned and orchestrated ahead of time as a part of a larger effort. I will now display the evidence, now I am warnign you it is rather graphic. We have blurred the phases and as much as the morbid evidence as possible."
For a duration of ten seconds each eighteen photos were shown on screen. Twelve of which were of bodies which had their faces blurred, and had wounds/gore also blurred. However the red bled through the burring in places. Each of them wore VSR 3-TsV uniforms, Lifchik chest rigs, combat boots, and had either an AK-74M next to them or on them. Each of them had a
5th Spetsnaz Brigade patch on them. The remaining six photos were of a road map with locations such as Novovoronezh Nuclear Power Plant, Kursk Nuclear Power Plant, and Smolensk Nuclear Power Plant high lighted on it. Other locations such as the locations of the SAM installations of the 8th Air Defence Divisions on the road map were blurred heavily so their exact location could not be determine nor what was being blurred. Other photos included the breached doors on the way to the steam turbine and then the exploded steam turbine itself.
"I do apologize for the graphic nature of those photos. However, thanks to the quick acting nature of security teams at the power plant as well as Soldiers at the border we were able to prevent further attacks. Regardless of success or stumble the Belorussian Government has aggressively attacked Russia and revealed it's hand. That is why I am moving forward that the Russian Federation declare war!"
