Saudi Arabia/UAE- Phonecall

Fuad of Saudi Arabia, -Fahd bin Abdulaziz Al Saud would sit in his lavish mansion in Riyadh to make a call to the Emir of the United Arab Emirates. He usually wouldn’t make phone calls personally but for a neighbor such as the Emiratis, he would take time out of his busy schedule(driving his 1999 Bugatti 18/3 Chiron to pick up his Tibetan mastiff puppy from the Royal Groomers) to do so. This would be done on a line which prevented others from listening in.

As the President, Emir of Abu Dhabi was preoccupied with an earlier telephone call, the call would be forwarded to the Prime Minister, Vice-President and Emir of Dubai, His Excellency Sheikh Maktoum bin Rashid Al Maktoum. Ensuring that the line was secured and encrypted, he would answer.

The Emir had been waiting a while without hearing a response on the other end. He could only assume that the Saudi had a poor line and lost connection. Since he had other duties to perform, he hung up the phone in the hopes that the Saudi's would call in future when they had better communication infrastructure.
