Privately the Portuguese Government would enquire if Sweden would be open for the sale of this equipment, Portugal would offer 5,000,000$ above what the Swedish Government would receive from scrapping them.

The scrapping process would be cancelled upon receipt of the Portuguese request and all sixteen JCB HMEE would be sent by the Swedish Defence Business Administration to Portugual, free of charge.
