"Where's Boris Johnson?" A Bogan mumbles, unable to decipher the names on the voting ballot.

In the lead up to the election, Premier Jay Weatherill and Minister for Transport and Infrastructure Stephen Mullighan would front the press to announce a plan to remove seven level crossings in the Adelaide Metropolitan area.

"This project will cost $1.3 billion out of the $2 billion we have allocated to infrastructure funding for the next 4 years if we are re-elected. We will remove seven level crossings and establish a level crossing removal authority, similar to what the Daniel Andrews government has done in Victoria. We would work with the people in and around these level crossings to make sure the businesses and the community are not adversely affected, $5 million will be allocated for that purpose. This will leave us with $700 million of infrastructure funding for other promised projects, such as tram line extensions to Norwood, North Adelaide and Prospect and to build a bulk commodities port on the Spencer Gulf. The level crossings include the tram crossing at Marion and Cross Roads at Plympton Park, the tram crossing on Goodwood Road, the Belair line crossing at Cross Road at Westbourne Park, Brighton Road at Hove, Trimmer Parade and Tapleys Hill Road at Seaton, Park Terrace at Salisbury and Torrens Road at Ovingham. The entire infrastructure package will help create 1,700 jobs."
