To the Australian Office of the Prime Minister,
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Thailand extends greetings to the Office of the Prime Minister of Australia. We are writing to propose an official visit to Australia by a high-level Thai delegation, tentatively scheduled for February 10, 2024. This visit builds upon the productive discussions held during the two previous Thai-Australian bilateral dialogues involving the Thai Ambassador to Australia, the Australian Prime Minister, the former Chief of the Republic Thai Navy, and the Australian Chief of Defence Force. The delegation will be led by His Excellency Mr. Surin Pitsuwan, Director-General of ASEAN, Oceania, and Pacific Affairs, and will comprise four Thai officials.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Thailand looks forward to receiving confirmation of the proposed visit from the Australian Office of the Prime Minister. Our two nations share a strong foundation of mutual interests and values. Thailand is committed to working with Australia to promote a world order based on equality, self-determination, and cooperation for the benefit of all mankind.
Sincerely,
Surin Pitsuwan
Director-General of ASEAN, Oceania, and Pacific Affairs
