Dear Minister Shide,

I hope this message finds you well. I am writing on behalf of the Thai Commerce Ministry with an exciting proposal that I believe will be of mutual benefit to our two nations. We understand that the Ethiopian-Eritrean border disputes have ended and that Ethiopia now owns the Port of Assab. We have been following this development closely, and we would like to express our interest in establishing a trading hub center in the newly modernized port.

As you may know, Thailand has invested over $35 billion in its infrastructure over the past four years, and we are proud to say that our economic power is exponential growth. Our extensive experience in logistics and supply chain management, coupled with our advanced technology and world-class facilities, make us a perfect partner for Ethiopia in establishing a modern and efficient trading hub center.

We believe that by collaborating with Ethiopia, we can bring numerous benefits to both our nations. The newly modernized Port of Assab provides an excellent opportunity for Thailand to expand its reach into the African continent, while also providing Ethiopia with access to the latest technologies and expertise in logistics and supply chain management.

Furthermore, our proposal for a trading hub center would create jobs and stimulate economic growth in both our countries. This would be an important step towards achieving our shared goal of sustainable and inclusive development.

In summary, we believe that establishing a trading hub center in the Port of Assab is an opportunity that should not be missed. We would be honored to partner with Ethiopia in this venture, and we are confident that together we can achieve great success. Please do not hesitate to contact us if you have any questions or if you would like to discuss this proposal further.

Thank you for your time and consideration.

Sincerely
Adisai Photharamic

Re: Trade Hub in Port of Asseb,
Minister Photaramic,
We welcome Thailand's interest in expanding the commercial exchange between our nations through the potential establishment of a commercial hub in our newly reincorporated Port of Assed. Said area is currently undergoing a major overhaul, modernization and expansion, to make it a regional and global center for trade, and having international companies representation there would certainly benefit its economic impact on the trade routes crossing the area.

However, to further explore this proposal and understand the requirements to establish the trading hub center in the Port of Assab, we kindly request more details from your esteemed Ministry. Specifically, we would appreciate information regarding the legal, commercial, and financial aspects of such an endeavor. This would include any regulatory and legal requirements, investment opportunities, potential incentives or benefits, and any other relevant details that would be required to advance with such proposal, on either end.

We believe that establishing a trading hub center in the Port of Assab is a unique opportunity for both our countries, and we are committed to seriously consider pursuing this venture with utmost dedication and in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations. We look forward to your valuable insights and guidance in this matter.

Respectfully,
Ahmed Shide

Dear Minister Shide,

Thank you for your prompt response to our proposal to establish a trading hub center in the Port of Assab. We are excited about the potential benefits that this collaboration could bring to both our nations, and we are committed to providing you with more details about this opportunity.

From a legal standpoint, we would ensure that all aspects of the proposed collaboration comply with applicable laws and regulations in both our countries. This would include obtaining all necessary permits and licenses, ensuring compliance with customs regulations, and protecting intellectual property rights. By working closely with your government and regulatory bodies, we are confident that we can establish a strong and legally compliant trading hub center in the Port of Assab.

In terms of commercial considerations, Thailand's expertise in logistics and supply chain management, combined with our world-class facilities and advanced technology, would enable us to provide Ethiopia with access to the latest industry know-how and tools. This would help to streamline trade and logistics processes, reduce costs, and improve efficiency for all parties involved. For example, we could provide training and support for Ethiopian companies to help them better manage their supply chains, or offer state-of-the-art logistics software to optimize shipping routes and reduce transit times.

From a financial perspective, we see this collaboration as a long-term investment for both our countries. Establishing a trading hub center in the Port of Assab would create new jobs, stimulate economic growth, and provide opportunities for trade expansion for both Thailand and Ethiopia. In terms of incentives, we would be happy to discuss potential tax breaks or other financial incentives to help facilitate this collaboration.

For example, Thailand has previously offered tax incentives for companies investing in logistics and supply chain management, which could help Ethiopian companies establish a foothold in the global marketplace. Additionally, we could explore the possibility of joint ventures or other forms of investment that would provide mutual benefit to both our countries.

In conclusion, we believe that this proposed collaboration represents a unique opportunity for both our countries to create a mutually beneficial partnership. By working together, we can establish a strong and legally compliant trading hub center in the Port of Assab, streamline trade and logistics processes, and create new jobs and opportunities for economic growth. We are committed to working closely with your esteemed Ministry to explore this opportunity further, and we look forward to hearing from you soon.

Thank you for your attention to this matter.

Sincerely
