Official Statement

The Foreign Office of The Republic of Ireland (Èire) acting upon the orders of the current administration in Dublin, has decided to announce the closure of its embassy in London and begin the orderly departure of its officials and staff from The United Kingdom within 42 hours time.

Irish nationals travelling or residing in The United Kingdom are advised to take the necessary precautions so as to ensure their safe departure from their host country and return to Èire as soon as possible. Those choosing to remain on British soil may do so albeit with the understanding that the foreign office and the Government of Èire are not responsible for their fate or any consequences thar may result from their courses of action.

The decision to close the embassy in London was carried out as an extension of the current administration's policy regarding the status of Northern Ireland and legality of partition.

With this in mind, The Foreign Office shall give Britain's diplomatic personnel a period not exceeding 42 hours to conduct their departure from Dublin and the closure of its embassy and various consulates throughout Èire.

British Nationals shall be allowed to come and go as they so please. Those wishing to continue their residency in Èire will be required to register with the office of immigration and customs as well as the Garda Síochána, apart from that all civil liberties currently guaranteed by the constitution of Èire and enjoyed by Britons residing in Èire shall remain unhindered.

Those engaging in provocative displays or criminal activity shall have their residency declared null and void prior to being given a hearing before the High Court of Èire resulting in either a sentence not exceeding 5 years followed up by deportation or instant deportion from Irish soil. Assets of those responsible shall be seized and withheld prior to deportation. A payment of £30,000 shall be required in order to have said assets restored to their original owner and finally, the offender will be required to sign a document forbidding them to set foot on Irish soil again hereafter. These actions shall be enforced by Garda Síochána along with the Defense Forces of Èire.

Signed
Gerald Monahan, Foreign Minister of Èire

The Swedish Bureau for European Affairs, working within the Department for Foreign Affairs, publicly condemns the decision of Ireland citing the necessity for European unity and cooperation - the withdrawal of diplomatic missions is a significant step towards a breakdown of a significant historical relationship between mainland Ireland and the United Kingdom.

The Swedish Level 3 Security Alert for Ireland remains in effect.

The Irish Government would condemn Sweden's reaction to the cutting of diplomatic ties with Her Majesty's Government in The United Kingdom on the grounds that Sweden's reaction hints at a total disregard for the self determination of Ireland among the nations of the world.

"We utterly abhor the foreign occupation of the six counties that make up the northeastern half of Ulster under the rule of Britain, an occupation built upon the supression of Gaelic cultural traditions along with its replacement with the alien culture of England and Scotland during the course of the 17th century, The attempt to undermine the national sentiments of Ireland's native population by crushing the risings of 1798 and 1916, The lack of consultation given to Northern catholics both politically and religiously with regards to their fate and future, The gerrymandering carried out by the Unionists in an attempt to give protestants an unfair advantage thus enabling the continuation of British rule at the expense of Irishmen as a whole, the discriminatory practices of Stormont in areas of employment and housing between 1921 and 1972 culminating in the reekindling of republican sentiments, and so forth...a continous train of abuses...by recognizing partition to our North we are enabling imperialism and its ilk. Perhaps, Sweden should consider Ireland's past and the effects of that past on the present and future."

Brazil's representative to the GA, Juan Veldez, when asked about the Irish Republic's decision by reporters outside of his office replied, "The government of Brazil marches lockstep with its Irish brothers who have for long supported Brazil," He further added, "And Brazil will assist the Irish government in anyway, be it economic, political or military, now and in the furure."

The Canadian Government would further urge the nations of the world to refrain from taking sides on this matter as this issue is extremely delicate and could re-start the Troubles if not handled appropriately. Canada has offered to provide mediation between the UK and Ireland on this matter, two countries which are extremely important to Canada and Canada's history. The Prime Minister, Justin Trudeau, would make preparations to fly to Dublin this evening to meet with Irish leaders and further on with British leaders in London.

With that, the Prime Minister would depart 24 Sussex Drive in Ottawa for CFB Uplands at Ottawa Macdonald-Cartier International Airport. Awaiting would be a Royal Canadian Air Force CC-150 Polaris in VIP configuration, painted in special edition retro livery. The weather in Ottawa would begin getting pretty rough with snowfall across the city and the airport as the country approaches late November and winter. He along with his wife Sophire Gregoire Trudeau would board the aircraft, onboard would be the Air Transport Group's VIP Protection Detail along with the Prime Minister's personal protection detail from the RCMP. The Deputy Prime Minister, Carolyn Bennett would become Acting Prime Minister. They would depart eastwards across the Atlantic bound for Dublin International Airport.

The statement by the Brazillians would be a little alarming to the Americans, although it was not confirmed that the Irish were planning to retake Northern Ireland by force, the Brazilian offer of military support could be taken quite literally, as no one knows what back door discussions have been made between countries. However, the American embassies in both Dublin and London would be made available for both British and Irish citizens seeking consular advice and help returning to their homelands.

The statement made by Brazil was 'red flagged' by the British Government. Identifying that the Brazilian Government seemed eager to offer support against the UK -- but specifically mentioned military support indicating their support for conflict. The diplomatic mission closures from Ireland wasn't of any concern but eyes had turned to Brazil given their recent private discussion with the UK for cooperation.

Meanwhile, diplomatic staff were more than welcome to exit the UK, and return to the UK (as applicable), holding no ill will against the tantruming Irish Government.

Juan Valdez on his way to his office after a lunch break and was told by reporters about the American statement and was asked for a statement of his own, he merely replied,

"Well, our diplomatic staff was assaulted when on American soil and protests were not only allowed, but encouraged by the present administration during the French Embassy Crisis.

So as far as the Americans taking our statement literally, well how very American of them. A society devoid of nuance, of course they would come to that conclusion. Brazil was merely pointing out that with the cessation of diplomatic ties between two of the world's largest military exporters, that Brazil would be able to provide Ireland with self-defense weaponry in the future if need be."

There are shouts of different questions at him by multiple reporters. But the GA Rep. shuts them down.

"And I have no further comments. I worry about what the ISAF powers think about world affairs as much as I worry about the sun rising."

The Irish Government would welcome Brazil's support for the reunification of Ireland as a collective whole but would request that Brazil handle its role in the current situation with caution so as not to provoke the outrage of others as no party in Dàil Èireann has purposed a full scale invasion of Northern Ireland not even Sein Fein!

Nigeria would condemn the unilateral decision by the Irish government and urge a return to international norms and respect for the normal ways in which disputed issues have been settled. The Nigerian State Department would urge calm along the border along all those involved and urge for continued dialogue to diffuse any potential conflict.

Nigeria would applaud the Canadian effort to maintain the peace.

The Irish Government would make it clear that it's decision to declare partition null and void without legal binding was the product of Britain inability to come to terms with the question of Irish reunification and of past attempt by the last two Irish governments to find a peaceful means of bringing about Northern Ireland's incorporation into the Republic.

Furthermore, it would be emphasized that at no point in time were the people of Northern Ireland consulted by Britain as to whether or not they wanted to remain within the United Kingdom or join the Republic on the basis of their own free will but that it was assumed by Her Majesty's Government that the people of Northern Ireland were somehow content with the status quo....in essence, Britain has left us with no recourse by which to resolve the dispute at hand.

The plane would touch down at Runway 10L (10L and 28R are two different runways but I cbf asking again) and would contact ground for taxiing before going to its parking spot. The Prime Minister would exit and would be greeted by the Canadian Ambassador to Ireland and Canadian Embassy vehicles on the tarmac. He would shake the Ambassador's hand and enter the vehicle, along with his RCMP security detail. The RCAF security detail would remain onboard the aircraft and provide security to the aircraft on the tarmac while its parked there. They would drive to the Canadian Embassy in Dublin where the Ambassador would host the Prime Minister to afternoon tea.
