Catholic University of Lille
Lille, France
The university's campus was, as is usual on such a day, bustling yet somehow peaceful. Students sat on the grounds studying, playing music, conversation, and being merry, while professors were dutifully giving their lectures, writing theses, and carrying out research. Such an idyllic is one that many would assume is too good to be true, yet here it was, a peaceful Monday afternoon at one of the world's most famous catholic universities. No one paid mind, as a convoy of Total S.A. trucks pulled in, the university and many surrounding buildings and attractions had backup generators that guzzled fuel like there was no tomorrow, and many had to be frequently refilled to ensure the fuel wasn't bad. Perhaps a few may have been suspicious when a few box trucks came in, but this university had several different departments that had to be supplied with a plethora of different goods and equipment. That's when the Chaos began
A group of men in hazmat suits carrying military-grade weapons stormed the commons, firing on fleeing students as the trucks released a cloud of toxic VG gas that would spread across the campus and settle over the game, killing within minutes those caught in its clutches. As police and EMS arrived on scene, they were entirely unprepared for the Gas and the military opponents, those in the first wave who weren't incapacitated by the Gas were mowed down by the numerous attackers. By the time 20 minutes had passed, the Gas persisted across the commons and surrounding area as these attackers barricaded themselves in the main university building. From the Canal de La Moyenne-Deule to Rue Colbert, From Boulevard Vauban to the Deuele, part of the Urban Core of Lille was being occupied, the area's inhabitants slaughtered or captured.
France was under attack.
