Foreign Minister Baek,

The South African Affair continues to be a troubling matter. The White House wants to make sure that every diplomatic options is exhausted before there is any kind of conflict between American and Swedish forces. I have been directed to inform you that the White House has contacted the British in hopes that some kind of sit-down negotiations could be held in London between the United States and Sweden. President Gore made it clear that the United States would only be willing to sit down for these negotiations if:
1) The Swedish government must agree that they do not intend to permanently stay in South Africa, and that when they leave, they will grant South Africa full independence as a separate and sovereign nation with no political or economic commitments.
2) They must agree that part of the negotiations will be a timeline for the withdraw of Swedish forces from South Africa.
In return, we will agree to continue to support the Antarctic Treaty, specifically Sweden's claim to a number of islands throughout the Southern Ocean.

We wanted to share this information with you so that your government is on the same page as ours. Please let me know if you have any questions.

Best Regards,

Vance Larson

Dear Ambassador Larson,

Thank you for sharing your governments desires to enter into a formal negotiation with Sweden. We appreciate your candidness and sharing of information. We hope that through whatever means possible the freedom of South Africa will be achieved. Korea's patience will dry up. At which point, we will resort to all measures to see the complete and unconditional independence of South Africa from white imperial rule. This we can not change. We may hope for a peaceful resolution, however, to be frank, I do not trust that one will be achieved.

Korea has little faith and trust in Sweden. We do not trust their Government in their actions or their intentions. Promises have been made and failed. Obligations expected and then renegaded. Sweden is neither an honest partner nor a reasonable state. We have no intention of supporting the peace negotiations without a verifiable process conducted through external parties.

The Global Assemblies clear bias to maintain European superiority over the Globe gives Korea little faith that negotiations will absolve the current situation. It is clear that the Assembly has been used to justify and legitimize the colonization of land once again. One which Korea will surely reprioritize its foreign policy away from. We believe that negotiations conducted outside the assembly are both appropriate and necessary due to the unfairness of any negotiation conducted under the assembly. So too will any agreement made be responsible through external measures and not the assembly.

Regardless of our objections over the lack of verifiability on the proposed preconditions, we hope that you will be successful in your endeavors. Neither do we wish to waste our efforts, resources, and time on future endeavors when the will of global institutions undermines all our efforts. Please do keep us informed of any relevant information to Korea, and we hope that the negotiations will be swift and result in the withdrawal of Sweden's colonial ambitions. I have faith that the United States will not sell out the South African people in these negotiations; I only hope that the negotiations are not used as a ploy to entrench and advance colonial rule.

As we speak, Sweden both advances its foreign arm sales and procurement of South African equipment as previously mentioned. Our Ministry of Trade, Industry, and Energy which is responsible for sanctioning all parties involved in the colonization process reported a $1.5 billion arms purchase through Sparrows earlier this month. One which coincides with our belief that Sweden intends to fight to defend its colonial empire and its vile colonialist values.

Signed,
Baek Jeonghee

Foreign Minister Baek,

The White House has yet to hear back from Downing Street. However, we are confident that they will contact the Swedish and get back to us. In the meantime, the Pentagon has cleared Korea to forward-deploy its fleet and assets to Pearl Harbor. There, we will have a number of destroyers and oilers waiting. From Pearl Harbor, after the Korean fleet has replenished, they will be escorted to Puerto Rico. The Pentagon has not informed me if the Navy intends to go around South America or through the Panama Canal. Regardless, the Navy will have the replenishment capability to get our fleets to Puerto Rico. Please inform me if you have any questions.
