Having read through the agreement, a British Government-templated agreement was offered in return. Mirroring much of what was on the agreements proposed by the US President. "Having reviewed both, there were some areas which whilst we don't doubt your values, is open to creating problems in the future as it would legalise how much support the United Kingdom would need to give yourselves, vice versa. However, this didn't differentiate something that one of us may not agree with. For example, if we had started firing squads on civilians, the treaty suggested would mean we would still have to stand by your government. Of course, that was just an example. I've combined them both together for the British Parliament, and I understand you have your own so I am happy to sign two agreements for your government, whereas we would just have the one to sign.

President Gore decided not to bring up that the firing squad was still a legal means of execution in a number of states, albeit uncommon. He reviewed the revised treaty, as did some of his advisors. He wasn't a fan of the weakening of some of the language but ultimately decided that it was probably the most sensible thing to do. President Gore's views on loyalty was that a person was either always a friend, or that they were as reliable as the common man found on the street. He extended this view to sovereign governments as well. He gave his John Hancock under, "President of the United States of America" with his fountain pen and then offered his hand to the Prime Minister so that they could shake.

"The Constitution empowers me to negotiate and sign treaties, but this will of course have to first be ratified by the Senate. I have absolutely no doubt that it will make it through - in fact I would be surprised if it wasn't unanimous. Thank you for coming, Prime Minister, I feel that this trip has been exceptionally productive," he said.

"Before you go, I did want to briefly discuss the ongoing situation in Russia. I've been speaking with the State Department, who has been in contact with other nations around the world on my behalf. We are presently organizing efforts to have a united coalition of nations publicly condemn the communist and fascist factions that have taken control of eastern Russia and Siberia. This public condemnation will essentially state that every faction east of the Ural Mountains is not legitimate. Internally, we are hoping that the Tsarist faction in St. Petersburg and the Russian Federation under Putin can come to some kind of mutual agreement because if they begin to fight, then the conflict may become much more... even - and that would be worrying. If you think that Her Majesty's government would be interested in taking a stand against the communists and fascists, I would be happy to have our ambassador in London deliver a copy of the statement to Downing Street so that you can review it once you arrive home," he said.

President Gore patiently waited for a response from his colleague who he was sure wanted to return home as soon as he could. With the situation appearing to calm down in Russia, President Gore hoped that this wouldn't be as big of an issue as he thought it was going to be. Nevertheless, he wanted to know what his English colleague had to say.

With the agreement signed, it was enough from the British point of view to be in effect but pending it to be ratified by the US first before committing to the treaty. "It's an absolute pleasure to have been here, we've loved it." smiled Andrew, speaking for both him, his wife and aides. "The signing of the treaty is a great step forward and next time, I would love for you to visit London where we can hopefully spoil you in the same way.", rubbing his hand across his stomach indicating to the well-fed Prime Minister. "I have heard in passing of the de-escalating issue with Russia but naturally, it's best to be ready and a collective of nations to speak up would be best. I will be eager to see the statement delivered to Downing Street and let you know my thoughts further." He offered his farewells, ensuring to shake the hands of those in proximity and during that time, the security complement of the Special Air Service were prepped and ready for the return flight to the United Kingdom, concluding a long four-day state visit. It was seen as a productive and worth-well en-devour that would hopefully see the strengthening of the relationship between the UK and US be maintained for years to come. Returning to the awaiting flight, ZK1085, the Lockheed Martin TriStar KC1 sat on the taxiway ready to go. Now on board and abiding regulations, the aircraft begun its departure for the journey back to the United Kingdom.

President Gore would shake the Prime Minister's hand and tell him that he was welcome to come back to the United States any time he liked. He also privately provided the Prime Minister with Gore's secure, personal line that he only gave to those he was closest to. "If Britain ever needs anything, the United States is here for you," he said. The rest of the delegation would say farewell to the British. The Secret Service would escort the Prime Minister's motorcade to Andrews Air Force Base which had its local airspace closed for the Prime Minister's departure. Once all of the Prime Minister's staff and officials were aboard his aircraft, air traffic control would grant the Prime Minister's aircraft to take off using standard ATC procedures. American ATC would remain in contact with the Prime Minister's aircraft until they were out of range. The British government would be securely kept up to date with the location of the Prime Minister's aircraft for as long as the United States was able to see it on radar. The first state visit of the Gore Administration was considered a whopping success. The mutual defense agreement between the United States and the United Kingdom was submitted to the Senate where Vice President Sinclair began lobbying for its success. It was of course expected to be ratified without any issue.
