The ARA General San Martin and ARA Nicolas Avellaneda would depart their homeport of Puerto Belgrano and set a direct course of navigation to Cork, Republic of Ireland. They would use argentine, international and irish waters to cover the route, travelling at cruise speed. Although their weaponry would not be engaged, they would be navigating with all their sensors and radars on. Heavier training was scheduled for the return trip.

The ships would inform Ireland that they are expecting to enter irish waters and approach Cork in about 8 to 9 days (ICy.)

On board they would have loaded several crates filled with cultural and commercial merchandising, banners and other accesories required for the planned activities, as well as food to cook argentine cuisine for the public events and official dinners.

The ship would by now be entering irish territorial waters, and the authorities of that country would be informed of this. As the two big ships approach the coast, the upper decks would be cleared and prepared in a ceremonial fashion, with multiple maritime signaling flags hoisted together with argentine and irish flag. Inside some of the designated spaces, the rooms would be prepared to receive the public, and the crew would go over the planned schedule.

The idea was to use this opportunity not only as evidence of the good irish-argentine relations, but also as a show of strenght of the argentine navy for any outside spectators.

The ships would approach Cork.

The LÉ Eithne (P31) (Flag Ship for Ireland) would be waiting just outside of Haulbowline Naval Base (County Cork). They would receive the notification of the arrival of the Argentine Ships and relay a message.

"Greeting this is Commodore Mick Malone of the LÉ Eithne, Eithne Class Offshore Patrol Vessel. Let me be the first to welcome you to the Republic of Ireland. Please follow our vessel so that we may guide you into the Port of Cork."

The Irish flag ship would begin to guide the Argentine ships through the narrow waters and into their respective docks at the Port of Cork. As they where approaching a fire work show commenced. The port was decorated with Celtic Banners, Irish Flags, and Argentine Flags. They're are multiple concession stands selling food, t-shirts, and various other odds and ends. The sailors from Argentina would be greeted with the local populous with handshakes and gift baskets filled with a traditional Irish meal, a Celtic cross, and other various Irish goods.

Commodore Malone would step off the LÉ Eithne and approach ARA General San Martin. He was dressed in his nicest Naval Uniform. He would wait at the end of the ramp for the whomever was in command.

Commander Perlini was the captain of the ARA General San Martin and in charge of the ships on this goodwill voyage. He would witness the approach of the irish LÉ Eithne first on the radar and then visually from the bridge of the 25,000tn Kirov-Class Battlecruiser. When the communications would sound through the VHF radio he would take the mic and reply in a perfect english.

"Commodore Malone of the LE Eithne, I am Commander Perlini, Captain of the General San Martin, thank you for receiving us. We will follow your lead. I look forward to meeting you in person."

The argentine ships would trail the irish flagship and safely dock in Cork. After about 1 hour, the ships lowered its ramp to the dock and, fully dressed in their white ceremonial uniforms, Commander Perlini accompanied by other high ranking officers stepped into irish soil. The Captain of the ARA Nicolas Avellaneda would join them few minutes later.

"Commodore Malone, it is a pleasure to be in your beautiful country, let me present you my collegues". The argentine commander would introduce the other officers to the irish navy commander.

"Greetings Commander Perlini" Commodore Malone would say, bringing his hand up to the brim of his hat in a salute, then reaching out to shake his hand. He would then greet all the high ranking officers with the same respect.

"I am to be your personal liaison, and to accompany you during your stay in Ireland."

The Mayor of Cork, Jim Fitzgerald would approach.

"AH! Hello, Hello! Honored guest, welcome to Cork! I'm Mayor Jim Fitzgerald. My friends call me Jimmy! Come enjoy the festivities. We have many authentic Irish dishes, oh and the women..." He would be abruptly cut off by Commodore Malone.
"Thank you, Mayor Fitzgerald. Anyways as I was saying. Anything you may need during your stay here, please let me know and I will be more than happy to accommodate. Shall we proceed to the festival?"

The argentine commander would replicate the military salute, as would the rest of the argentine officers. After some friendly exchange, the Com. Perlini would take the initiative.

"Commander, Mayor, I think we can proceed with the schedule. My crew has everything prepared for the event to start this afternoon, as planned. It would be an honor to have you both at the opening, and if any of you wants to address the public, it is most welcome to."

After this, and another brief round of friendly chatter, the argentine crew would retreat to their ships to make the final preparations and get some rest before the grand opening at the Port of Cork.

The Mayor would hold a speech on a stage in the center of the festival, stating that the Argentine Ship would be open to the public to tour. People would be lined up awaiting entry onto the Ship.

Meanwhile Commodore Malone would be with Commander Perlini, onboard the ship checking it out first hand, before it would be open to the public.

"Quite an impressive vessel you have here Commander, the Argentine Navy must be very happy and proud. I only wish we had something this impressive here in Ireland." He would chuckle.

"Indeed, being it the largest ship in our navy at the moment, it was designated as the fleets flagship. We do have however plans to acquire some additional units for our surface fleet. They are fine vessels indeed."

The cultural events would progress according to schedule, with a high turnout. The argentine sailors would also enjoy the events, taking hptos with the crowd and giving around explanations on how the ship works and about everyday life at sea.

Afterwards, the official dinner would be held at the main dining room of the ship, with all high level irish guests and the high ranking officers of both argentine ships.

After the schedule was completed, the argentien shpi woudl prepared to head out to Dublin, where it would be performing the second visit.

Commander Perlini would deeply thank his irish counterpart for the reception and hospitality.

Commodore Malone would thank him for his hospitality and return to his ship. The LÉ Eithne (P31) would head back for Haulbowline Naval Base.

As the Argentine ships approached Dublin, they would be able to hear loud Irish music playing over loud speakers. Fireworks would be going off, just like in Cork, although much more extravagant. President Barrett along with Minister for Defence Michael Smith would be at Dock 5. It could be easily identifiable due to the large Argentina Flag flying by it. The 2 docks a bit further in could be seen flying Russian Flags, and the 2 docks past those would have Irish Flags. The remaining docks would be empty with the exception of shipping vessels.

The argentine ships would once again enter in a ceremonial fashion into the port of Dublin, with perfectly dressed sailors lined up on the main deck and argentine and irish flags waving into the wind.

They would safely dock in the assigned positions, next to the russian warships.

After a time, the officers from voth argentine ships woudl descend and greet the irish welcoming party, inviting them on board for a quick visit of the modern vessels.

Unlike in Cork nobody of significance was waiting at the dock when the Argentine ship arrived. Many civilians would be watching and waving as the ship pulled in.

After about an hour of being docked. 2 Sikorsky UH-60A Black Hawks and 3 PZL W-3A Sokol Helicopters could be seen flying in, they would do a full circle of the Festival. The 2 UH-60As would make a landing on a helipad that was roped off and guarded with members of the 1st Corps, 2nd Division, 3rd Brigade, 7th Infantry Battalion, Echo Company. The 3 PZL W-3As would sit in a hover over the helipads.

President Barrett along with members of his cabinet would step out the UH-60As, as he passed the ropes the UH-60As would take off and all 5 helicopters would fly off in formation.

President Barrett and his staff would be surrounded by members of the Garda Síochána (Irish Police) and a squad of soldiers. They would approach the Argentine Ship.

"Greetings! Welcome to Dublin, sorry I'm late, lots of business that need attention." President Barrett would say.

The argentine commander would make a military salute to the just arrive irish Head of State.

"Mr. President, nothing to apologize for, I can imagine how busy your agenda is. I would like to salute you and the irish people and thank you for having us here. On behalf of the Government I represent and the State I serve, I can firmly say that Argentina and Ireland are heading towards the correct direction in terms of cooperation and that there is much to achieve if we work together.

We have already visited your city of Cork, and now here in Dublin I can confirm the beauty of your land and the kindness of your people. We hope to receive you soon in Argentina to reciprocate all the attentions your people gave us.

President Barrett would give a half handed salute that didn't even make it all the way to his forehead (Not in a disrespectful manner, but that of having no military experience). He would then reach out for a handshake.

The police around the president seemed distracted by what's being said in their ear pieces.
"I am glad you are enjoying your stay. I do believe that the relat...." He would be abruptly cut off as the Police grab the president by his arms and shoulders and took him away from the conversation. The soldiers and police surrounding the President would rush back towards the helipad as the UH-60As came rushing back into and landed quickly. The President would be quickly loaded on and the 2 police escorting the President hopped in the helicopter. The soldiers went rushing back to the cabinet members and quickly formed a perimeter around them. As the Presidents helicopter flew off, followed by the Attack Helicopters, the second UH-60A would land. The soldiers quickly rushed the members to the helicopter. As the helicopter flew off the soldiers would begin and evacuation of the citizens.

"Ladies and Gentleman please remain calm and head back to your homes, this is an emergency situation. Turn to channel 4 for more news. Until further notice Ireland is under lockdown." A soldier could be seen saying on a podium in the center of the festival.

Another soldier came up to the Argentine ship and saluted. "Apologies for this, there is an emergency situation, we will have to keep you at port until we get the all clear. I myself am not entirely certain of the situation, all I know is we just had a terrorist attack in the Country. Please return to your ship, The Garda Síochána will stand guard. We will send word when we get the 'All Clear'."

Surprised by the sudden turn of events, the argentine officers, including Commander Perlini, would return to their ships and stand by for further news from the irish authorities. They would be on alert, just in case any threat would come up.

They would maintain constant communications with the local authorities as well as with the argentine ministry of defense.

Throughout the night, things would remain quiet. At 0125 hrs in the early morning a member of the Garda Síochána that was on guard for the Argentine Ship would board the vessel and approach Commander Perlini.

"Evening sir, I have just received word that everything is all clear. Your ship may leave when you so choose, or you may stay in Ireland for the rest of your schedule. I do apologies for the inconvenience and the ruining of the festivities. Events like this happen every so often in Ireland. If you have any questions please get with our Department of Defence. Stay safe sir."

With that the officer would exit the ship and enter a patrol vehicle and drive off with his partner. The area the festivities was at is littered with trash and is now abandoned. Everything would be eerily quite.

With everything cleared and safe according to the irish authorities, the argentine commander, in contact with the Ministry of Defence, would decide to continue with the schedule as planned, although with extra security meassures.

The cultural agenda would proceed as scheduled and the visit would result in a success, bringing argentine culture closer to the population of Dublin.

Once the events were complete, the ships would prepare to continue their voyage to Saint Petersburg, Russia. Resupply would be requested to the irish porth authorities, as well as also ask for permission to replenish on the return from Russia, before crossing the Atlantic back to Argentina.

The Argentinian's would be thanked for their cooperation during the crisis, and much appreciation would be shown for their stay in Ireland. Their culture would be felt wide and far across Ireland. They would be given access to replenish on their return home, and they would be replenished on behalf the Irish government before heading to Russia.

Having resupplied and with everything in place, both ships would leave the docks of Dublin and safely head out to open waters. They would horn their sirens in salute and farewell to the irish people.

Once out at sea, they would set course to their next destination, according to the schedule, St. Petersburg, Russian Federation. The russian authorities would be informed of the arrival of the ships, planned to happen in 4 days.

Both ships would travel at cruise speed on route IO-IP-JP-JO-KO, remaining at all times on international waters and avoiding strict territorial waters.

Considering they were navigating near territory of hostile countries, they would have all their radar and sensors systems engage, and would monitor both surface as well as air traffic for potential treaths. They would be in constant encrypted communication with their HQ.

As the ship crossed through the Strait of Denmark and into the Baltic Sea, they would be in full alert due to the proximity to Sweden. They would maintain their course always on international waters, evading any territorial waters (aside from the russian ones on their entry to St. Petersburg).

All the radar and sensor systems would be on alert, with the crews also ready for any potential hazard. The situation would proof to be a good training for the sailors and officers on board of both ships.

All operations on board would be private, although they had their AIS active to not pose a threat to the heavy maritime traffic in the area. Russia would be contacted and asked for permission to entry.
