Picking up from an encrypted phone line, President Victor Romero would quickly answer as he assumed what the phone call was about.

"Greetings, Mister, President. I was expecting your call. Let me know how Brazil can help. And also, just so I know. What in God's name happened on that runway?"

"Straight to the point Victor... A french airplane invaded argentine airspace over Alexandria, refused to acknowledge the instructions from the ATC and lied about a fuel emergency, only to see once on the ground that it was full of soldiers and equipment. They refused to negotiate and apparently blew themselves up before surrendering, killing many argentine citizens in the way...

Bit more, bit less, Argentina has now declared war on the Republic of France because of this and we are preparing several operations to neutralize the threats. One of these Operations will secure French Guyana."

"Well, you know we are on your side no matter what. We will gladly assist you in anyway. We have a massive naval and air presence near the Caribbean, and we also have a Carrier Strike Group operating in the North Atlantic. It is comprised of 1 Brazil Class carrier, 3 Destroyers, 3 Frigates, and 3 nuclear subs. They could be quite a deterrent, or a first line of defense, or first measure if necessary. I am going to put my entire military on full-alert should hostilities start against us. You just give me the word, Ignacio.

Oh, by the way, I have the CEO of Peugeot Jean-Philippe Imparato, Citroen CEO Linda Jackson, Nexter CEO Stéphane Mayer, Général de division (or Major General) Bérénice Bejo right here in the Presidential Compound speaking with Foreign Minister DeSilva. We should probably just let them go, as they have nothing to do with the stupidity at the airport, but perhaps we could use them as some kind of leverage.'

"Thank you Victor, you know that we will be there as well if Brazil should need anything. Our intentions are for the moment not to spread the war by involving third nations. If France does not call in allies, we won't either. But we don't know how the french Government thinks, specially after having called my Minister of Foreign Affairs monkey, retard and such vile things... And that in the middle of negotiations.

We do however would like to ask you, without modifying any deployment, to watch out for potential french ships or suspicious naval activity in general through your training in the North Atlantic. If you ever see anything, please let us know.

As for the hostages, given Brazil isn't involved in the war, I don't see really a reason to take any drastic actions. Just let them go or deliver them to the french embassy in Brasilia. We wouldn't give the frenchies any reason to call in the cavarly hahaha

"Yes, we are not on war footing with the French at all, so it would be advisable to just let them go and we have done nothing threatening to them at all. Our Northern Atlantic mission is nearly complete, however we will soon be sending out a more aggressive patrol, possibly to Northern Atlantic once again or even possibly closer in the Caribbean. We want our other carrier to get experience as well. Please do not hesitate to contact me immediately if you need assistance. You know we are in your corner."

"Thank you Victor. I wouldn't like to drag you into this bilateral conflict. I will personally keep you posted, but we are going to make a presentation to the CIS to let everybody know whats is happening and what our goals are."

Back on the phone on an encrypted line, President Romero calls President Herraro's private line.

"Ignacio, this is Victor. So, Treaty of Philipsburg? This possibly puts Dutch troops right on my border. Please tell me what exactly are you doing in the Caribbean right now? And let us know how we can assist or coordinate any patrols or missions. I am going to have an emergency meeting with my military council right after we get off the phone. I am putting my Northern command on high alert effective immediately."
