OFFICIAL STATEMENT
The Republic of Argentina expresses its profound surprise and disapointment with the Government of the Republic of France regarding its most recent actions. As it is of public knowledge, few hours ago, during a public and announced attempt to assist in evacuating the isolated and cut off personnel of the brazilian embassy in Paris to finish once and for all the tensions surrounding the Brazil-France-Germany-Italy affair, french authorities have arrested argentine diplomatic personnel.
Such attempt had been previously informed to the french authorities in an official way, without any kind of response or alert from their part, resulting therefore in an act of cowardice and treacherous behaviour.
As consequence of this, the French Government has arrested argentine and brazilian personnel with diplomatic immunity according to the General Assembly's Resolution on International Relations. This very clear and vile violation of international law should be dealt with in a very serious way and the Government of the French Republic is hereby informed that it is obliged to immediately release all personnel with diplomatic immunity, that includes the staff of the Embassies and Consulates, among others, and treat him accordingly to the above mentioned Resolution. This includes guaranteeing their safety and access to the airports and other ways of departing the country. Should the French Republic fail to do so, the case will be brought to international courts and sanctions will be considered.
As consequence of the unilateral and disrespectful actions of the Republic of France, the Argentine Republic invokes the principle of reciprocity and therefore informs to the Government of France that all french diplomatic personnel beginning with his Excellency the Ambassador of France to Argentina, have been declared Persona-Non-Grata, and according to the Resolution on International Relations of the GA, have 48 hours to leave the territory of the Argentine Republic. At the same time, the Government of Argentina informs that all current bilateral agreements will be reviewed and suspended. This situation will continue so, until the argentine and brazilian personnel, in its totality, is allowed to leave the French Republic, as they are legally entitled to.
Finally, the Government of the Republic of Argentina reaffirms its commitment to peace and diplomacy and calls for the international community to condemn this type of behaviour, as it only adds further tensions to an already volatile internatonal scenario.

All members of French consulates and of the embassy in Buenos Aires would quickly shred every piece of paper, delete every bit of information, and would destroy any possible damaging piece of information from the consulates and embassy. They would then leave Argentina and return to France via plane.

The Nigerian Government would issue no public statements on this at the time.

In private and through encrypted and secured lines, their Foreign Ministry would contact both the Argentine Foreign Ministry and the French Foreign Ministry and urge caution and calm in this situation, as well as a mediation and end to this dispute that has escalated far beyond necessary. Nigeria would offer to serve as the mediator in these discussions to ensure that they stay focused on the goals of peace and renewal of normal diplomatic relations.

The German government reminded their Argentinian counterparts that the situation between Brazil and Germany was due to what is suspected to be a deliberate lack of communication on the part of the Brazilians, regarding a public declaration of Persona Non Grata to the Brazilian diplomats, as well as the escalation of hostilities from the equivalent of brutish thugs trespassing on government property and engaging in terroristic actions that required the intervention of His Majesty. At this juncture, it should be considered unwise to support Brazil any longer, given that they are primarily responsible for the escalation of global tensions.

The Republic of Argentina would privately contact the Government of the Republic of Nigeria and thank them for their offer to mediate. Argentina would accept the proposal and inform them that our only demand is for all argentine and brazilian diplomatic staff currently ilegally detained in France to be released and let return to their home countries. The nigerian would also be informed that the case has been submitted for the review of the International Court of Justice, in the hope to find a quick and satisfactory diplomatic solution to this unecesary conflict.

In effect, and as a token of our good intentions, we have complied with the GA's Resolution on International Relations and duly informed the french diplomatic staff in Argentina that they have 48 hours to leave the country, and that the Argentine Government will respect their rights, something be clearly expect from the french side as well.
