ARGENTINE ARMY RESERVE COMMAND​

The Argentine Army Reserve is the organizational structure that embodies and operates the reserve troops of the Argentine Army, which also serve as the militia of each province, being the latter its primary task. The Ministry of Defence can federalize the provincial militias, transfering its control from each Province to the National Army.

Currently the reserve has 100,000 troops, distributed among all 23 provinces.

Some Provinces also have Air Reserve units assigned, which operate like their army counterpart, controlled by the provincial State but available for the Air Force if required.
