Overview
The Department of Industry, Science, Energy and Resources is a department of the Australian Government responsible for consolidating the Government’s efforts to drive economic growth, productivity and competitiveness by bringing together industry, energy, resources and science. The portfolio also includes government agencies and bodies such as the Commonwealth Scientific and Industrial Research Organisation (CSIRO), the Australian Space Agency, the Australian Nuclear Science and Technology Organisation (ANSTO), the National Offshore Petroleum Safety and Environmental Management Agency (NOPSEMA), the Australian Institute of Marine Science, Geoscience Australia, the Australian Energy Market Operator, the Australian Energy Market Commission, the National Measurement Institute, IP Australia, AusIndustry, the Australian Renewable Energy Agency, the Clean Energy Finance Corporation, the Australian Energy Regulator, the Australian Energy Infrastructure Commissioner, the Clean Energy Regulator, the Office of the Chief Scientist, the Anti-Dumping Commission, the Australian Building Codes Board, the Australian Radioactive Waste Agency, Industry Innovation and Science Australia, the Critical Minerals Office, the National Offshore Petroleum Titles Administrator, the Major Projects Facilitation Agency, the Office of National Rail Industry Coordination, the Office of Supply Chain Resilience, the National Reconstruction Fund Corporation, Questacon (the National Science and Techonology Centre) and the Joint Accreditation System of Australia and New Zealand.
