Dear Mr. Kim Daejeong, Due to your daily trade route between Incheon and Melbourne involving the transporting of electronics, semiconductors and automobiles, we have added the vessel HMM Pyongyang to the International Shipping Register for the Australian Maritime Safety Authority. As such, there are a few fees involved with being on the register and I will give you a break down below. These fees are annual every financial year (July 1st to June 30th). Registration fees are a one-off payment. ---------------------------------- Vessel net tonnage: 42,233 Marine Navigation Levy Formula: 20,001 to 50,000 Net Tonnage = $2,975 + 7 cents per ton over. 42,233 - 20,001 = 22,232 tonnes x 7 cents = 155,624 cents/100 = $1,556.24 $2,975 + $1,556.24 = $4,531.24 Regulatory Functions Levy Formula: 20,001 to 50,000 Net Tonnage: $3,400 + 17 cents per ton over 42,233 - 20,001 = 22,232 tonnes x 17 cents = 377,944 cents/100 = $3,779.44 $3,400 + $3,779.44 = $7,179.44 Protection of the Sea Levy Formula: Over 90 Net Tonnage: $10 + 11.25 cents per ton over 42,233 - 90 = 42,143 tonnes x 11.25 cents = 474,108.75 cents/100 = $4,741.09 $4,741.09 + $10 = $4,751.09 Shipping Registration Fees Application for registration: $2,664 TOTAL PAYABLE FOR 1999-2000 FINANCIAL YEAR: $19,125.77 TOTAL PAYABLE EVERY FINANCIAL YEAR AFTER: $16,461.77 ---------------------------------- Payment should be made out to the Commonwealth of Australia.
