[Australia]: Phone Call to Germany

The Minister for Defence Industry, Dr. Mike Kelly, would ring the German Minister for Defence on a private, secured and encrypted line from his private and locked office in Parliament House.

The phone would ring.

Federal Defence Minister Dennis Gottschalk would be sat in his office, filling in some paperwork when the phone would ring. He would make sure he was alone in the room before picking it up.

The German phone line would be encrypted and secured "Defence Minister Gottschalk, how can I help?"

"Ah yes, Mr. Gottschalk, pleasure to speak with you. This is the Australian Minister for Defence Industry, Mike Kelly, I am here to enquire about the procurement of uhhh.." He would look at his notes "220 Boxer Armoured Fighting Vehicles as apart of Project Land 400 Phase 2 to replace the ageing ASLAV vehicles. We selected this vehicle on the basis that it is a wheeled infantry and/or armoured fighting vehicle that can perform in a range of environments that Australia requires and fulfils the armoured cavalry role by providing high levels of protection, firepower and mobility. Also Rheinmetall has proven itself to be a valuable supplier of defence material for both Australia and around the world. We're willing to invest up to 5 billion dollars into this project."

"Sadly the boxer isn't available for export. The Federal Republic along with a few other nations have came together and signed an agreement that it won't sell the boxer to another nation to protect the national security of the 3 nation's.

Maybe there is another product we can offer instead?"

"Those other nations being.....?"

"I'm not obliged to hand out that information. Like I said previously, is there anything else that catches your eye?"

[Owen]

"Surely if all three nations agreed then on it then it could be sold? We would like to make our case to the other two and it is a bit odd that you're withholding that information."

"The Federal Ministry of Defence doesn't hand out information without prior approval. I can assure you, something like this would need to be spoken to first with the others however we won't be doing that. If you have nothing else, I guess this goodbye" if that was the end of the call the minister would put the phone down

The dial tone would be heard on the phone. The Minister would be shocked that the German hang up on him suddenly.

"What a rude cunt." He would say after he put the phone back down.
