The Prime Minister, Kevin Rudd, would ring James Trudelle on a secured Australian Signals Directorate encrypted line. He would wait for the Prime Minister to pick up.

James Trudelle would rush to his office and close the doors as the Liberal government argued about their current situation outside of the room, their voices muffled but audible, even through the phone.

Prime Minister James Trudelle would answer the phone.

"Hello, Prime Minister Rudd," he addressed, "This is surely related to Canada's current state. I apologize for any inconvenience, we are currently doing our best to bring stability back to the country."

"Yes... No, no inconvenience at all. I think you missed our memo. We're offering military support to Canada in order to retake parts of your country. Specifically given our geographical location we're interested in the Western front in British Columbia and Alberta. We can have Special Forces sent onto Vancouver Island within the next 24 to 48 hours to retake key sights around Victoria, including CFB Esquimalt to give us an operating base and a fleet to set sail in 48 hours. Which brings me to my next question, have these nationalists actually managed to take control of RCN ships and RCAF planes?"

"While I would have declined the offer of military support to prevent an escalation of the war, the rise of terrorism and communism in Montreal have escalated things by themselves. We accept your support through special forces. While the RCN evacuated the ports of Toronto and Vancouver during Nationalist uprisings, not all the ships were able to escape in time. If the Nationalists have any ships, they should have no more than three patrol class ships. As for planes and helicopters, the Nationalists captured many airfields, the precise number is unknown but it isn't enough to cause serious damage to the RCMP and RCAF on the land."

The Prime Minister would think to himself... "RCN in Toronto? Really wants to defend those Lakes.."

"While yes we can send Special Forces to the Western front, we're still going to send a fleet as a support role because if those guys get into trouble and need an extraction we will need someone nearby. Remember we share the same Queen. Our forces pledge allegiance to Her Majesty. This is why we are doing this. We don't believe you have contacted the Queen once during this whole situation. Her country is up in flames, you need to let her know what is going on and she can ask for assistance from the Commonwealth realms like Australia and the UK."

"Yes, I apologize for that. It began as a small riot and we thought nothing of it, but the time the Nationalists became a fully supported group by the citizens and military of Canada the need to contact the Queen and the Commonwealth of Nations was not at the top of our priorities. The Liberal government will contact her momentarily. The information that we have gathered from the Nationalist government tell us that they too are supported by foreign powers, I do not want a full-scale invasion of Nationalist-held territories. That could escalate things to more than just Canada."

"Well you need to consider the fact that these people have taken huge swaths of Canadian territory. You need to regain control of your country for your people and you cannot capitulate to these Nationalists, if that requires an invasion of their territories then so be it but I don't believe they're powerful enough to even require an invasion just a very precise operation. Who are these countries supporting them?"

"According to the information that my people have gathered, Poland and Serbia are supporting them. Personally I do not trust the large amount of Singaporean 'aid forces' in the Nationalist territories to the west. Whatever the Commonwealth decides, Canada will support it."

"I doubt the Singaporeans are.. being deceptive. Poland and Serbia sounds about right, their governments are pretty far-right and we've had our problems with Poland in the past so we don't expect their attitudes to change. We will consult with the UK about what to do."

"You're most likely right, the recent events have made me quite paranoid..."

His next words are cut short by the door to his office bursting open, the Minister of Defense for Canada quickly telling him of the current situation.

"I apologize, Mr. Prime Minister, but it seems we are running out of time. The nationalists appear to be only hours from Ottawa. Whatever you have planned, do it now."
