The Department of the Treasury is an Australian Government department responsible for executing economic and fiscal policy, market regulation and the delivery of the federal budget across all Departments of State of the federal government. The portfolio also includes government agencies such as the Reserve Bank of Australia, the Australian Taxation Office, the Australian Bureau of Statistics, the Royal Australian Mint, the Perth Mint, the Australian Securities and Investment Commission, the Australian Prudential Regulation Authority, the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission, the Productivity Commission, the Commonwealth Grants Commission, the Australian Office of Financial Management, the Foreign Investment Review Board, the Australian Charities and Not-for-profits Commission, the Australian Financial Security Authority, the Australian Accounting Standards Board, the Australian Reinsurance Pool Corporation, the Tax Ombudsman and Inspector-General of Taxation, the National Competition Council and the Auditing and Assurance Standards Board.
