In the German Embassy, it was never given the order to deny entry to Citizens of any nationality, the embassy was not very big, so priority would be given to German Nationals, then nationals of other nations, after being searched. The Ambassador would give the order without consulting the Germany Cabinet.

About 6 Guards holding non lethal weapons would try to control the crowd asking to enter in a orderly manner, if no order could be established, they would be forced to not permit any entry. But if order was kept they would be allowed. Unfornutally no Belgian citizen could enter the Embassy unless after being given a search for any weapons and priority would be given to children and women. They would accept Belgians until they were to many to accept inside the embassy, after that they would be barred from entering.

John Almaci would be granted an audience with the Ambassador and would be escorted by a security officer to the Ambassador's office. The Ambassador would have a kind look on his face as he welcomed the man into his office, "How can I help you?"

The Guards would try to be warm and approachable, despite their armed state, hoping to reassure that their weapons are only for the defense of the Embassy and anyone granted asylum through it. A few (lightly armed, only carrying their normal Beretta 92s) security personnel would pass through the checkpoint with some nonessential personnel to provide medical aid, bottled water, and reassurance to people scared of the Roman guards or waiting in line to pass through the checkpoint.

Three Days Later

THE COUNTER-REVOLUTION BEGINS
BELGIANS MARCH AGAIN TO DEMAND HIGH LEVEL RESIGNATIONS

1545005613046.jpg

Another day of protesting
Belgians once again took to the streets to protest against the government. This time, however, the protesters made it known that they were demanding the resignation of key members of the Soviet cabinet. They demanded the resignation of the following people:

General Secretary of the CWPB: Pierre Camus
Head of State: Joseph Reidermaan
Head of Government: Willem De Boer
Minister of Public Safety: Arno Maes

Chants rang out through the streets of Belgium calling for them to resign. Smaller protests were carried out in cities throughout Belgium as well, notably in Antwerp and Ghent where the nationalist nature of the protest was most visible.

The protesters also demanded justice for those slain and for the police involved to be imprisoned.

(OOC: Sorry, I misinterpreted your post when you said foreign nationals, since it was in Belgium, I assumed it did not include them)

The few who could fit into the embassy would fight their way inside. Once again, a few weapons were recovered. The injured were happy to have found refuge inside the embassy. Jan Decaluwé would approach the German guards and seek an audience with the German ambassador. He would plea that the Germans help the Belgians as much as they could.

@Logan

John Almaci thanked the Roman ambassador for his time. Still bleeding from his head, John said, "Please help us. We are asking the governments of the world to see these soviets for the monsters that they are!"

The Roman reassurances to the people inside was welcomed and eventually calm and order was established. Everyone was just happy to be off the streets and safe.

Gunshots would be heard echoing as the Chinese soldiers from the second floor windows would shoot at the feet of the protesters.

"Disperse immediately!" The leader of the soldiers would yell. "We are accepting only Chinese and Japanese citizens! All others are to leave immediately and seek shelter elsewhere! This is your one and only warning!"

"We can deliver you to Rome, where I'm absolutely certain that the Senate will want you to testify on what has happened here in Belgium. From there, we are willing to offer you, your family, and anyone else willing to testify asylum in Rome." The Ambassador would motion for a Foreign Ministry employee to enter the room. "I'm going to authorize an emergency Roman Passport for you. This will guarantee your safe passage to Rome and subject you to the same protections as a Roman Citizen when it comes to our foreign affairs. If you're willing to testify, I can have an aircraft in Brussels within a few days to escort you to Rome. Do you understand, and are you willing to come forward?"

The Ambassador listened carefully to Phillippe's words before speaking "I already have informed the government about the measures we used to bring the citizens into the Embassy, I'll inform them once again about our current status. If you are willing to, I can grant you and your family asylum in Brazil, I am sure the Prime Minister would be more than willing to listen to you. however..Unfortunately, that is all I can do, you and your fellow Belgians are more than welcome to stay for as long as you feel is best. But I have to warn you, our Embassy isn't fit to hold this many people, but we will try our best to keep you all safe. I have reason to believe that more people would want to testify about what occurred today, if that is true, bring them to talk to me and I shall see what I can do I believe another 5 people will be enough."

Meanwhile, as the hours of the night arrived and civilians stopped coming to the Embassy, the security shut its doors, the plan had been a success, now. it was time to go to the second phase of the plan, to keep the civilians safe inside of the building, the security took turns watching over the Civilians, while the troops on the windows continue watching, using flashlights to watch the street.

"Attention All Portuguese Citizens; The Portuguese Embassy is now issuing safe-passes back Portugal for those seeking refuge, please report to the Portuguese Consulate for arrangement of documents. For those who wish to stay, please be weary of the new curfew 8pm-8am. This Notice is for Portuguese Citizens only."
A notice would be posted outside of the Consulate's walls, and an effort would be made to spread word across the country. With only 15 Armed guards, they would stay within Portuguese sovereign Borders, making sure that the Embassy was safe from attack. They were simply armed with pistols, and were obviously no match for any Communist Soldier, but if given the chance, they would proudly die for their country.

Hours later, the protests soon turned violent, gunshots were heard ringing through the streets. The Guards, without any official orders from the Portuguese government they would stay behind the locked gates... Except for one.

Josefino Torres, A young guard from the homeland. He would silently watch as the crowds filled the streets. He silently watched as bullets pierced through the bodies of the innocent, spraying red on each other's clothes. He would silently watch as the what was once peaceful situation crumbles into utter chaos.

"I can't stand it anymore."

He would rush out into the streets, shouting in crude french as he tries to be heard in the sea of protest.

"To those who wish to seek asylum, please approach the Portuguese Embassy!"

He was quickly silenced by his superior as he was carried back into the building. Soon however, news had been given to those stationed in the consulate, an announcement would be made to the Belgian public.

"The Portuguese Consulate is now open for those who are in need of refuge. Please approach the consulate in a civil manner. Those who would oppose direct orders would be denied entry."
The Guards would be ordered to open the gates and hold any crowd that tried to enter the consulate by force. Josefino Torres would lead the squad in charge of calming down the distressed Belgians. The First floor of the embassy would be cleared for the people's use, while the last 2 floors would be locked off from the general public and would be exclusively used by Portuguese officials. The Windows would be barricaded and any entry points would be fortified. A few rifles would also be given to 4 guards in case of an unfortunate event.

Portuguese Citizens were given priority before the Belgians, and a few guards would watch from the windows to identify the injured. The guards would make an effort so that each person who would enter Portuguese territory would be free of any weapons and are not a threat to anyone else in close vicinity. A few guards would also be stationed at the doors, making sure that the people seeking asylum would be in good hands.

After a few Belgians would be present within the Embassy's quarters, an announcement would be made by Reymundo, the Consulate's chief security officer.

"Now, with the events that have unfolded within the past days, I am sure that we are all concerned with ourselves. Worry not, as long as you are within these Borders, you are safe from harm. Please present any form of Identification to the desks at the end of this room, some of you would be randomly interviewed so as to keep everyone safe."

Reymundo would go out and meet up with Josefino Torres who was outside trying to control the populace.

"Do what you want to do, remember; only 5 families."

"Thank you sir."

A letter would be sent to the current Belgian Government, informing them of government sponsored flights that were scheduled to come in the following days. These flights would be offered to Portuguese citizens who wish for safe passage back to Portugal. They would also inform the current Belgian government that a total of 5 UMM Alter II's would also be transported for ease of transportation.

At the sound of more gunshots the people around the embassy immediately ran away. Later at night protesters would attempt to spray paint the walls of the Chinese embassy saying "CHINESE GET OUT! SHOOT YOUR OWN PEOPLE!"

Belgian Nationalists Celebrate in the Streets
With the announcement of the sacking of key communist leaders, the organizers of the protests gathered for a victory march down the streets of Brussels hours before curfew would begin. They marched by the thousands singing the old national anthem. Eventually before the very plaza where the original protesters were shot, they held their victory rally. "Long Live Free Belgium! Long Live Free Belgium!" They chanted and chanted. Eventually a protester took up a microphone, "My fellow Belgians... We stand today at the site of a bloody massacre where Belgians died for the freedom we deserve. We are too strong for the communists! They must bend to our will! We will show them that Free Belgians do not give them their mandate to rule. We will continue to demand more and more until Belgium is free again and we can feel safe on our streets. Until we can feel safe from our government. Until we can feel PROUD of our nation once more. LONG LIVE FREE BELGIUM!"

Cheers rang out through the crowd. Victory was won today but the war was long from over.

@Logan

"Thank you. Yes, that would be perfect. The world must know what happened here. These soviets do not represent the people of Belgium. We need the world to know what they do to their own people. I fully understand your terms and I am willing to do whatever it takes to make these crimes known. We thank you for hearing our cries."

@JakeDorent

"Thank you, I will gather my fellow Belgians and we will speak to your government. Please, whatever you think we must do. Free Belgian people thank you for your government's help here today. These communists are murderers."

With that the man left and returned with five battered and bruised protesters. All seething with anger at the communists and ready to tell their stories.

@Strix

The protesters did their best to get inside as quickly as possible until the Portuguese embassy wouldn't allow anyone else in. The man who waved the people in at first was hailed as a hero. Several protesters were injured, it was impossible to tell whether their injuries came from fleeing the scene or from the communist forces. No one was visibly shot. Once the people inside felt safe within the embassy walls, they began to cry for their brethren outside. "This is Europe! How could such a thing happen?" They asked aloud.

Counter-Demonstrations on the part of the Communist Workers Organization, United Labour, and General Union of Self Managed Workplaces & Egalitarian Enterprises would take place in an orderly manner with flags of crimson not far from conservative events. Hours later, after a hearty rendition of The Internationale the demonstrators would follow the conservative lead in visiting the plaza where they proceeded hold a moment of silence in memory of those murdered by the rogue servants of capital and layed a wreath bearing ribbions of red flanked with the national colours of Belgium.

In Liege and Ghent local workers would assemble en mass at police arsenals where they managed to form a militia and defense committee to keep and maintain order so as to protect working class neighborhoods from nationalists and conservatives.

In Antewerpen, two communists were arrested by the police for having defaced the offices of the conservative editorial Pro Patria with paint and anti capitalist slogans.

Due to the volitile political climate, The Royal Family would be transported from Brussels to Arlon near the border with Luxembourg under armed guard at all times to ensure their protection. The Government shall see to it that they are treated in a humane fashion however, their remaining 2 properties would be redistributed to the community while their valuables particularly jewels and financial assets would be placed into a trustfund for the establishment of new cooperatives and a program for the provision of free housing for the impoverished.

Police Departments through the country would receive instructions to remain on high alert and work with communities to minimize the spread of violence or provacative outbursts. Those responsible for acts of brutality shall face prosecution as soon as possible, until then those responsible shall be put on unpaid leave until further notice.

The New Zealand embassy would monitor the situation that was currently ongoing. Knowing full on what was going on, the embassy would have precautionary measures in private in case things continued to escalate. The embassy was ordered to be secured for the time being, not on lockdown. For NZ citizens who wanting to leave a announcement would be made to them that they a safe passage back to NZ is available if needs be.
A traffic warning of exercise your need to travel would placed on the country, if things go south the NZ Government are ready to review and closely monitoring the situation in the country.
