We in Botswana have always seen Ethiopia as a role model in Africa and a vital nation in the African region. Your nation's great strides in supporting positive relations in tense regions such as Tigray and Somalia are something to be commended and we follow your great nation's model of a strong democratic system. We hope that these ideals of a strong democratic base have been replicated in Botswana well.

We seek to formally establish strong ties to Addis Ababa focusing on an equal bilateral relationship between our two nations. We would also like to pitch the idea of Botswana having the opportunity to send Thato Phiri, a Diplomat to Addis Ababa and Vice Versa. strengthing the relationship between our 2 nations, expanding the flow of trade between our nations for the benefit of each of us.

Despite the turbulence of Africa and attempts to destabilize our regions in the past we hope that this relationship could be the beginning of a new start for all of our people, we hope that you reach out soon.
