[BRA] Sacking of a São Paulo Police HQ

"This is an embarrassment to the Police force, it goes to show the crippled status of the Police Forces all over the nation!" An angry police officer of the São Paulo Military Police spoke to a group of reporters, answering their questions, he was just an example of the much larger precarious situation that the Police Force was facing.
During the Middle of the night, a group of armed bandits invaded one of the oldest Headquarters of the São Paulo Police Force and entered into a shootout with the guards, overwhelming the Officers on the scene, 2 Officers were killed, 4 Wounded and another 2 were locked in the cells of the Headquarters along with the other workers, one of the dead officers sacrificed himself to set off a radio distress call to the other police stations and vessels at the area, two of the bandits were killed in the shootout, by the time other units arrived at the location, the group was long gone, they had stolen a significant part of the police's arsenal, as well as parts of various cases surrounding Criminal Organizations within the City.
Many speculate that the Attack was planned out and executed by a rapidly growing Criminal Organization known only as the "PCC", they have been responsible by the deaths of many Police Officers in the biggest city of the empire, as well as many deaths of Civilians inside the poorer regions of the city.
The 4 wounded officers were brought to the local hospital, three of them are in stable conditions, while the fourth is located in the Intensive Care Unit, a Proper burial has been prepared by São Paulo's prefecture.
"When will this violence end ?" spoke a local who lives in the same street where the unfortunate Attack and Sacking occurred.

Two days after the attack, back in the Imperial District, the Parliament was discussing which measures to take in regards to the rise of Organized Crime and the threat it brings along, the session had gone on for some time now, and no former conclusion seemed to be reached on what should be done in response to the attacks, soon, one of the parliamentarians from the Brazilian National Movement Party took his turn at putting his point across, it was José Batista Santana, an Ex-Fire Captain from Rio Grande do Sul, many parliamentarians turned over to watch the Captain's small speech, after clearing his throat, the Captain spoke. "I remember back during the times of the Military Dictatorship, back then, the police was respected, even feared, nowadays the police force is a joke! Every year the number of officers killed in the hands of the bandits becomes larger and larger! This is unacceptable, we have to kickstart efforts to not only raise the quality of our arsenal but to start operations against these criminal pigs! It's clear that our Police Force, as well as our communities, are in dire need of help, and we, as the representatives of the people, have to assist them!" The Captain finished his speech by bringing up his own ideas to the discussion..the Parlament session would go on for a while, before finishing with the draft of a new Project regarding law enforcement in Brazil, however, the Parliamentarist's speech did not go unnoticed..

The cold morning of Porto Alegre was interrupted by a scream, inside a Gated Community, a poor soul found the dead body of José Batista Santana, the Parliamentarian who made the speech against organized crime.
It had been about a week since the São Paulo Police HQ had been sacked, and the Brazilian government had finished planning the "Project for Brazilian Law Enforcement" Which saw the reform of Brazilian Law Enforcement, the increased security spending, and the creation of more Police stations along Brazil. The Hour of Brazil had reported that various threats had been made towards the Brazilian Government, calling for the Project to be "Scrapped, or else, they'd face deep consequences", Law enforcement has connected the sudden murder of José Batista Santana as the, or one of the consequences noted in the threats.
In the afternoon, the São Paulo police began a large scale operation against Organized Crime, the target was regions suspected to be controlled by the "PCC" the Operation was successful, with around 10 suspects being caught, throughout the operation's execution, the police got into armed contact with criminals, these Shootouts weren't very prolonged, but did slow down the advance of the Police. Full numbers of casualties and wounded are to be announced, as the Operation is still ongoing.
Back in Porto Alegre, Police officials continue investigating the mysterious death of the Parliamentarian, with the assistance of the São Paulo Law Enforcement, the Brazilian Government Issued out the Project, in honour of the Captain.
