Objective: Attempt a joint snatch for intelligence purposes of a High Valued Target (HVT) linked with terrorist organisations. High Value Target is being protected by a large heavily trained force (The Canadian Grenadier Guards), although a some of the "large heavily trained force" are out doing routine patrols. It is suspected that the High Value Target is protected by Fifty (50) men at any one given time. The rest of the OpFor Two Hundred and Fifty (250) men will return once hearing gunshots and the attempted snatch of the High Value Target (HVT) which will then prompt the Special Forces units although highly skilled and trained to call for support in which a heavy force of Two Hundred and Fifty (250) troops of the Canadian Special Operations Regiment who are acting as a Quick Reaction Force (QRF) to insert into the gun battle and help the Special Forces Unit extract the High Value Target (HVT).

Skill(s) gained: Special Forces Unit(s) will gain Level Two (2) of Extracting a High Valued Target in a dangerous war zone. Quick Reaction Force(s) will gain Level Two (2) in Quick Reaction Alertness and Rescuing Trapped Forces.

With the training session due to start soon, the Canadian Forces that were tasked with partaking within this exercise would make their way to Canadian Forces Base Suffield located in Alberta. Located north in the base within the open, a mock town was erected to help prepare for the battle. The Canadian Grenadier Guards would take note of the mock town and learn it for the use to help them within the Exercise. Pictures were taken of the mock town to help the Allied Forces plan for the extraction and the assault of the town. The British Ministry of Defence were notified to send the British Forces taking part in the exercise to Canadian Forces Base Cold Lake an airbase used by the Royal Canadian Air Force. Once arriving at Canadian Forces Base Cold Lake, transport would be ready to transport the British Forces to Canadian Forces Base Suffield.

As the mission was not top secret the Brazilian Security Services would monitor the mission. Though not hoping to glean anything from the weak Canadian Armed Forces, the Brazilian Security Services will monitor the the mission nonetheless.

Deployment
22 Special Air Service Regiment, A and B Squadron, amassing to 120 personnel of British SAS Operators was given the go-ahead for their involvement. All information regarding what British assets were involved in the exercise was private, and encrypted with the only information given was a British Infantry Company to participate. The personnel were transported by A330 MRTT from the RAF, and was accompanied by Special Forces Aviation, 661 Squadron. On a separate flight in a C17, containing two Blackhawks from the UK Aviation unit had also departed the UK for Canada. The flights, ensuring they had full fuel to get to their destination had the ability to divert if needed, but would eventually arrive safely and unload their equipment and supplies at the Canadian Forces Base Cold Lake. The A330 and C17 were to remain present in Canada for the return trip when required.

General Meeting
With the British deployment arriving at Canadian Forces Base Cold Lake, hired out coaches for the British Personnel would arrive to drive the troops to Canadian Forces Base Suffield where the Canadian Deployment was waiting. The British blackhawks was given priority clearance to fly towards Canadian Forces Base Suffield and were given parking locations next to the Canadian rotary aircraft.

Once arrived at Canadian Forces Base Suffield, the British Troops were given their allocated areas to stay. The British Commanders were notified that the Canadian Commanders wanted to meet at their earliest convenience once they have settled in. Aircrews from Canada begun mingling with the British Aircrews looking over their aircraft and just begun general chatting. Canadian Special Forces met with the British Special Forces going over the equipment and talking about their experiences.

Arrival
With the coaches fully arriving in a timely manner, the British Troops were shown the way to their barracks for the duration of the exercise. The mock village would be fully complete and operational for the exercise to begin within the week or so, Canadian Commanders along with the Minister of National Defence would walk through examining the work while also taking notes and pictures for future exercises.

While at Canadian Forces Base Suffield, a operations room was set up within a building. Personnel begun bungling in setting it all up for the use for operations, while the British were more trained and highly sophisticated than the Canadian Counterparts, the Canadians were hoping to learn something from them as well as begun tight relations to allow the exercise and future operations to run smoothly.

Maps were drawn, sand tables were made of the area, aircraft were prepared and maintained to a Hugh standard. All that was needed was the briefing and the go ahead to begin.

The British Equipment arrived and was configured promptly for their operations, personnel spending their time on the barracks and cooperating with their Canadian Counterparts. The commanding officer for the British Complement in Canada had arrived to the command tent containing Canada's own Commanding Officer, allowing them to be introduced and work through the plans for the training exercise. The exercise itself was concealed from the British Point of View as to who was involved, simply because it was Special Force units engaging in the exercise. Aircraft crews running through equipment checks, all was given the green light from the UKSF involvement.

With the British Commanding Officer entering the "war room" the room would stand to attention as a sign of respect as well as showing the seniority that the British Officer has. On the wall would be a large map, with a few Canadians stood around it, Lieutenant Colonel Joshua Philips was the leading officer for the Canadian Forces involved in the exercise approached the British Officer extending a salute before returning to his poisiton "Welcome to Canada! It's a pleasure to be working along side some of the finest soldiers known to man! Please follow me" he paused leading the way to the wall with the diagram. On the wall would be a map of the erected fake village located north of Canadian Forces Base Suffield.

The target building would be marked on the map along with sniper positions and Machine Gun positions. "Looking at this intelligence report, what would you suggest doing to conduct this operation? We have the Canadian Special Operations Regiment acting as a Quick Reaction Force and we have the Canadian Grenadier Guards acting as the axis. In my personal opinion we should fly to this location" he'd pause pointing to the map before continuing "Unload and move in on foot, I suggest for the operation that we mix the teams up by having some of the British and Canadian Special Forces in the same team. Also from intelligence report there is roughly 150+ operatives within the area so it may get a bit sticky but I'm sure we can extract the High Value Target and call in the Quick Reaction Force for extraction. Your opinion?"

The Commanding Officer for Britain was an SAS Officer who had plenty of experience under his boot, rather than receiving the salute, he merely extended his hand to offer a handshake. Perhaps the Canadian Officer wasn't their Special Forces? but if they were, he had some minor worries about whether they're tough enough given he's saluting to a fellow operator. His tone of voice rather stern, almost grumpy.. but that was just his personality. "Pleasure to be here, Lieutenant" he spoke. Stepping beside the mock village map and taking his own mental note that from the intelligence report.. not much had been established. "Right, so, a few questions to establish what we know so far.." there was a brief pause as the man mustered his thoughts before asking.

"Evacuating the HVT, do we have the intel on where the target is? Particularly, what room they're in? Are they definitely in this target building, has it been positively identified?
Are those 150 combatants a definite figure, I suspect one of your men had gone to count?
Do the hostiles have any of their own heavy power, such as anti air? Should we expect hostile artillery?
Are there any specific patrol patterns, or is there a time where the enemy are all in one place?

We only have two blackhawks for our own units, so we'd likely need to share in your assets if possible. What support do we have? Air? Artillery? et cetera." he paused, giving some time for the Canadian officer to feedback the answers to the questions. It'd help him make a genuine response to a plan for the combined force to secure the High Value Target.

The Canadian Lieutenant simply retracted his arm from the salute then proceeded to shake the British Officers hand. Although the Lieutenant was apart of the Special Operations Force he was from the Canadian Special Operations Regiment (CSOR) although not an operator was a leading Infantry Officer however this was his first stint within the Special Operations Command. "We have intel where the High Value Target is, he's located North of the village in a two storey building located within the main bedroom." He'd pause clearing his throat before continuing "We have had a scout sent forward and have confirmed that the target is within the target building. The 150 combatants isn't a definite figure, we know there is combatants within the village itself and a suspected force of 150 or more within the area. From intelligence reports, the enemy forces do not have artillery or heavy firepower apart from a few Machine Guns which are nested as shown on the map. There is no reports of Anti-air either. British Forces are more than welcome to use any assets we have within the area for the duration of this exercise, I have also asked for Artillery and air support which should be arriving soon." while the officers continued to talk, an alert was sent that [4] C3 Close Support Guns were brought up along with [25] Personnel from the 1st Regiment, Royal Canadian Horse Artillery along with [4] CF-18 Hornets from 'A' Flight, 425 Tactical Fighter Squadron was also dispatched to Canadian Forces Base Suffield which had an adequate runway and hangers to house the CF-18s until the end of the exercise.

"To land away from the village and move on foot could provide risk to operators from any artillery, but also cause delays as they could even get pinned down by their more.. heavy firepower. Given it's a HVT extraction, time, is of course, important. It'd need to be quick and a brutal entry in my opinion. Whether that means rapid helicopter insertions on the building at the time where the enemy force is at it's most vulnerable, or sneak in possibly beneath the ground if an option, as navigating around patrols could be problematic given if we use a small team for stealth, they'd have no support. What are your thoughts? I'd suggest a Canadian lead in this exercise, we would be happy to be in support or accompanying your own present forces." The officer fell silent, giving his thought was enough and patiently waited for his Canadian Counterpart to pitch his response.

”Looking at the key facts and your opinions I would totally agree on a fast assault on the building. Although I do think creating a diversion of some sort would benefit us in the long run!” the Lieutenant Colonel paused before continuing “I believe an assault force under some artillery barrages in the south would create a perfect diversion while our Special Forces came in from either the North or East and fast attacked and repelled down into the building to extract the High Value Target (HVT) and hopefully get back to the roof for extraction? We’d have fast movers in the air for air support incase anything happened”

There was a short silence whilst the British Officer allowed the Canadian to respond, nodding in agreement with his proposal. "Good plan." he complimented bluntly, taking notes of the setup in front of them to relay to his men. "Given our lack of resources here, I presume your artillery units and the assault force would be handled at your side, whilst our guys and your own Special Forces move together from the north and east? Of course the diversion would need to be early enough to be a diversion but we'll need to make sure the Extraction teams get there immediately after to secure the HVT.", once the question was answered, the British OC would confirm his intention to brief his men and conduct that. It'd only take a short while before he came back to confirm they were ready to begin the exercise with the British SAS Force ready.

"Yes, we can prior arrange for the artillery to begun along with the diversion force to move into position, this should hopefully surprise the enemy combatants along with giving our Special Forces the right amount of time to extract the HVT" he'd pause clearing his throat before continuing "Shall we say mission go at 1700z? I'll brief my men and get them ready to roll out?" he'd pause before moving off to Brief the Extraction Team (Special Forces), Diversion Team, Artillery Team and the air unit(s) taking part.

The Diversion team a total of 25 Soldiers all equipped with C8SFW Assault Rifles, Heckler & Koch USP Pistol & M67 Grenades. They would move into position, hiking the way taking up cover noticing a few patrols, marking down grid references for the Artillery Barrages to begin shortly.

Joint Task Force 2 Special Forces would all be equipped with the C8SFW Assault Rifles, SIG Sauer P226, Quick Tie Cuffs, M67 Grenades and M84 Stun Grenades. They word board the awaiting Bell CH-146 Griffons along with the room acquired for the British Special Forces to board. The rest of the Canadian Special Operations Regiment totalling 100 soldiers would board the remaining Boeing CH-47 Chinooks, each soldier would be armed with the following: C8SFW Assault Rifles, Heckler & Koch USP Pistol & M67 Grenades. When given the green light, the Griffons would take off heading North before turning in westwards and holding in a pattern waiting for the green light to move in on the target location. 15 Minutes later the Chinooks would take off and head in the same direction and hold in a holding pattern roughly 3 miles away from the target area.

The British OC quietly nodded, concluding their mission plans with "It's a date."; hosted by a typical British accent before the pair departed and carried out their mission briefings. The Two British Blackhawk Helicopters, loaded with Special Forces Operators and British Troops in the spare room in the CH-146s were all aboard. In total, roughly 22 soldiers of the British SAS were in the extraction team. 20 Operators were pitched in the diversion team to support whilst the outstanding British Teams were on standby to assist if required. The British Aircraft maintaining a holding pattern with the Canadian Aircraft for the green-light to be given by the Canadian Government. Ensuring they'd refuel if required. Their MTP Special Forces Setup proved them to be a well-resourced fighting force, all ready to work hand in hand with the Canadian Forces. The moment they'd be given the green-light, the Diversion force could move in and the helicopters could make their rapid entry to extract their target.

With the helicopters in position and holding, the artillery barrage began. The artillery begun pounding a specific position given by the diversion team, with the loud noises of the bangs a total of 35 armed begun running towards the barrages. Quickly the machine gunners within the diversion team begun opening fire in short controlled bursts, although the bullets were blank members of the armed terrorists begun falling although not all at once.

The Griffons begun moving into position taking a one side of the road each along with two above the target building. Ropes dropped, the Joint Task Force operatives slid down the rope moving into position on the top of the building while the griffons that were on the road, the operatives begun securing the road and staying in a holding position. Abseil ropes were set up on the top of the building and the operatives begun roping down the side of the building holding short of the windows waiting on the British.

The team of British Personnel on the diversion team made sure to unleash hell. Machine Gunners exhausting their blanks through suppression whilst a specialist sniper provided support. The main gunner teams moving forward to hold the enemy in position. Meanwhile, Working side by side with the Canadian Special Operators, the SAS Extraction Team slid down the ropes in unison above the target building, the artillery heard echoing in the background with the armoured, overt operators moving into position on their own abseils; special forces from both countries ready to execute. The British Commander gave the clear once they were in position. "Execute Execute Execute" he repeated on the radio. Once given the all clear, the operators abseiled down and breached individual windows, smashing through them with brute force and flash bangs leading the charge to stun any opponents, making them an easy target to take them out.

With the British Special Forces breaching the building, the Canadian Joint Task Force Operatives quickly followed suit. Popping in flash grenades before breaching into the building, the flash grenades subduing the guards, before being shot with the blank bullets of the Special Forces Operators. Quickly the Joint Task Force Operators begun clearing rooms and floors before locating the High Value Target and cuffing him.

The Operators on the road, still holding position although not taking any fire as of yet as most of the enemy combatants focused on the diversion team until they realised what was happening. The enemy combatants begun peeling off, heading to the building where the High Value Target was staying, now more and more enemy combatants begun appearing totalling 100 in either direction on the roads. The Chinooks along with the Griffons begun circling the building while waiting for the go to begin extracting the allied forces.

The 100 enemy combatants begun opening fire as and when being 'piss poor shots', the artillery fire begun to stop however the fast movers begun taking off to be ready to begun air sorties within the area

Working in unison with the Canadian Joint Task Force Operatives, the British SAS Operators cleared room by room and located the HVT, High Value Target, at roughly the same time as the JTF arrived. One of the SAS Operators confirming over radio; "Package is Secure, requesting extraction.", whilst also receiving intelligence that the enemy force was returning to the building. Preparing for a counter attack, British Forces begun to get into position, machine gunners against windows, doorways protected as the fight for the HVT was about to begin. Whilst the Diversion Team pushed forth, requesting the assault force open fire to give the extraction team enough time to get the Package out of the proximity.
