Logistical Details

All the ships would carry enough supplies and equipments for this excercise.

Location

Departure: Okinawa Naval Base

Destination: Sector PL

Mission
Dragonslayer

Objective 1

" Intercept the dragon"

Intercept the Chinese fleet that is heading to Okinawa.

Objective 2

" Defeat the dragon"

Defeat the Chinese fleet heading to Okinawa

Note

The following attacks as mentioned before are using duds, and fake missile launches, coordinating with the Chinese ships to determine if they would have hit or not, this goes for both sides of the engagement. If a missile is truly launches it will be specified and then it would land as far away from Chinese or Japanese ships as possible to avoid injury or damages, hitting international waters around the fleets.

Information would flow towards the Japanese Ministry of Defence, this being private and encrypted, that the exercise was about to commence, and to ready their equipment towards Sector PL, about 220 km from Okinawa. Once both Navies where 100 km from each other the exercise would fully commence.
Preparing for this, 2x Type 052D destroyer "Xiamen and Nanjing" , 1x Type 052C destroyer "Zhengzhou" and 1x Type 054A Frigate "Xuzhou" would leave from the Naval Base Ningbo, they would be fully fuelled and crewed with all their systems and radars prepared. They would carry an assortment of ammo and missiles however half of what would be needed for a real war scenario, the other half would be duds and blanks. The crew would have a great moral and would initiate various drills once far enough from the Naval base. All these ships would meet up in wedge formation in the high seas, after leaving the naval base safely. They would only take about 4 to 5 hours to reach the area for the exercise, which would be an area about 220 KM from Okinawa. Once each navy were about 100km from each other the exercise could then commence.

Once the ships reached their destination. They would then prepare for the exercise and Aline the ships in V-formation. The alarm would then sound and everyone would go to their battle stations. After everyone was in place they would then make contact and wait for the Chinese fleet to make their first move. While waiting, they would play the Japanese Anthem and some J-Pop
to boost the moral.

The JS Maya would try to make contact with the Chinese fleet that have entered Japanese waters and warn them. "This is the Japanese Navy. You have entered Japanese waters. Please turn around!"

The following and subsequent attacks as mentioned before are using duds, and fake missile launches, coordinating with the Japanese ships to determine if they would have hit or not, this goes for both sides of the engagement. If a missile is truly launches then it would land as far away from Japanese or Chinese ships as possible to avoid injury or damages, hitting international waters around the fleets. True Missile launches will be specified.

The exercise would commence with both Navies separated apart with 100 km of distance, knowing that they had been caught trespassing extremely near to Okinawa they would initiate their first attack, trying to catch the Japanese of guard in a all out surprise attack. The two Type 052D destroyers would armed and fake fire 10 x YJ-18 SSM each, making around 20 missiles, towards the Japanese DDG 179 Maya-class "JS Maya", utilizing their systems in order to be certain that they would reach their mark. They would also prepare their 130 mm gun and wait until the Japanese Ships were within the 20km mark. These ships would also prepare to protect themselves, and ready their HHQ-9 SAM missiles in VLS, ready to intercept enemy missiles.

Next up would be the single Type 052C destroyer which would try and engage the Kongo-class "JS Kongō", and would fake fire 2 x YJ-62 anti-ship missiles towards it, they would be hard to catch due to the current salvo of 20 missiles from the other two ships. It would also ready its HHQ-9 SAM missiles in VLS, ready to intercept incoming enemy missiles, alongside its 2 × 30mm Type 730 close-in weapons systems to help defend the fleet.

Finally the Type 054A Frigate also not engage in combat, it would however prepare its VLS with 14
HQ-16 SAM missiles and its 2 x 7-barrel 30 mm CIWS guns Type 1130. It would also prepare its 2 × Type 726-4 18-tube decoy rocket launchers as a means to protect the fleet using decoys.

Every ship would move towards the Japanese Fleet, as a means of keep moving as to turn harder for the Japanese to get a straight signature for the launching of their missiles. They would also engage in defensive positions.

Officer 1: Sir, I think they just launched their AShM at us.
Captain: They WHAT !?!? Please Confirm this!
Officer 2: Yep, Our radars are detecting 22 AShM heading our way.
Captain: Oh, well if that’s the case I think it’s time to test our weapons.

JS Maya and the JS Kongo would fake launch their Sams to protect themselves from 22 missile shower that is heading their way. In case We would miss one of the missiles both ships would deploy their Mk.137 launcher and The 2 20 mm Phalanx CIWS on the JS Maya and the JS Kongo would destroy the remaining missiles.

JS Maya would then command the other vessels to fire SSM.
JS Maya would try to lock on the Xiamen and then fake launch 10 sm6 missiles, The JS Kongo would fake launch 4 Harpoon SSM and the JS Ariake and the JS Akenbono would fake launch both 4 type 90 SSM, and they would all aimed at the Xiamen 052D destroyer.

JS Maya would then repeat the command and to fire the SSM a second time.
JS Maya would try to lock on the Nanjing and then fake launch 10 sm6 missiles, The JS Kongo would fake launch 4 Harpoon SSM and the JS Ariake and the JS Akenbono would fake launch both 4 type 90 SSM, and they would all aimed at the Nanjing 052D destroyer.

All this would be done While the fleet was moving. This would make it hard for them to hit our ships.
JS Maya would then command the fleet to move closer to the Chinese fleet where they we can fire our naval guns. They would also use the speakers to play J-pop

Captain: "Are they playing J-pop?"
Officer: "Yes..yes they are."
Captain: "Blast our own C-POP in ear rape mode please" He said while chuckling

They would do so via their speakers.

Meanwhile, the missiles fired from both Type 52D destroyers, would have travelled at Mach 0.8 cruising phase and then Mach 3.0 in their terminal phase, meaning upon nearing the 40km from the Japanese Ships they would take 1 min and 37 seconds to reach their marks, however the two Phalanx CIWS would only have a maximum rage of 3,5 km,both having a extremely small window of time to catch all missiles at a muzzle velocity of 1,100 m/s, probably it would have caught 4 or 5 missiles due to the overload of targets and the rest would have a high probability of impact. The MK 137 SRBOC however would be ineffective considering that it is used defeat radio frequency emitting missiles which the YJ-18 SSM are not. The missiles in a real scenario would have made tremendous damage the Japanese DDG 179 Maya-class "JS Maya" possibly rendering it useless within the hour, considering that each missile would carry a 300 kg (660 lb) high-explosive warhead.

Meanwhile the Type 052C destroyer assault, would probably come under the radars due to the Kongo Class helping against the other 20 missiles and the fact that in their terminal phase the YJ-62 becomes a sea-skimming missile, meaning either the Kongo would need to focus down these two missiles due to their extremely rapid velocity of 274,4 m / s or help defend against the other, even fast, 20. Which would becoming an impossible task as the level of targets continued to increase, perhaps one of these missiles would have been neutralized, but the last one would go through. In a Real life scenario the cruise missile contains 210 kg (460 lb) warhead, it would not however render the Kongo Class useless, it would still be able to continue in battle, barring extensive on board repairs.

With one ship, the Maya-Class out of combat, its attacks couldn't happen, however the Chinese Fleet, after previously preparing the defensive weapons would have an easier time defending against the salvo.

Every ship in the fleet would start to defend against the expected attack, Xiamen would defend it self and Zhengzhou would help it. Both ships would first, considering the missiles were still far away, use their systems and radars to track them, Xiamen and Zhengzhou would immediately then deploy 6 (12 in total) HHQ-9 missiles to intercept the 4 Harpoons and the 8 Type 90 SSMs, meaning that 4 HHQ-9 would intercept the 4 harpoon and the other 8 the Type 90. Considering that the the Harpoon travels at 240 m/s and the Type 90 at 319.44 m/s it would be extremely easy to dispose of them. However if this wouldn't work, Xiamen would use its 11-barrelled Type 1130 CIWS to intercept most of the misile while at the same time deploying decoys and shaft to defend against said missiles, while Zhengzhou would deploy its two 2 × 30mm Type 730 close-in weapons systems to also destroy the missiles, while also releasing shaft and decoys to prevent being hit. This of course in a fake scenario. Since, if the first defense failed, the multiple CIWS were most likely to succeed given the small number of missiles and the larger numbers of CIWS activated.

Meanwhile, Nanjing would defend it self and and Xuzhou would also aid it, by deploying their already readied radars and systems. Nanjing and Xuzhou would, like the other two ships, use a series of defences. First Nanjing would deploy 8, HHQ-9 missiles to intercept the 8 Type 90 SSMs. Where as Xuzhou would deploy 4 of its HQ-16s to intercept the 4 Harpoons once they were in the 18km margin to intercept, the HQ-16 missiles excels at hitting slow moving targets such as the Harpoons, so it would easily be able to catch them and destroy them. If all of these happen to fail, they would deploy theis CIWS, meaning that the Nanjing would deploy its 11-barrelled Type 1130 CIWS to intercept most of the misile while at the same time deploying decoys and shaft to defend against said missiles, while Xuzhou would deploy its two 11-barrelled Type 1130 CIWS, while at the same time deploying its 2 × Type 726-4 18-tube decoy rocket launchers and shaft.

With all the defences being successful, and a Japanese hips sinking an one being hit, they would continue to move towards the Japanese, but this time would go around them in single column file, with both Type 52D Destroyers facing towards the Japanese fleet, exposing their left side to the japanese, while the Type 52C would keep on the right side of Xiamen, and the Type 54A on the right side of the Zhengzhou, both far enough to help defend it and help being defended by it, working as a team. They would continue moving towards the Japanese, but not engage in another salvo of missiles, they would instead prepare their anti-missile defences again knowing another salvo of missiles by the Japanese would surely make them reduce their ammo. They would also move further towards them to engage in a naval gun fight, trying to reach the 20 km range. Which would not take long.

Captain: MY EARS!!! WHAT ARE THEY PLAYING!!!
Officer: Sir, they are playing C-pop
Captain: COMMUNIST POP? THAT DOES NOT SOUND LIKE COMMIE POP.
Officer: No, it's not Communist pop but Chinese pop.
Captain: Well then we should play COMMUNIST POP IN EAR RAPE MODE

The 22 SAM SM-2MR missiles that were launched on the JS Maya and on The JS Kongo where traveling at Mach 3.5. This would mean that the sm-2mr would have been capable of destroying the Incoming 20 YJ-18 missiles that were headed for JS Maya and the 2 YJ-62 missiles headed for JS Kongo. The 2x 20 mm Phalanx CIWS on the JS Maya and on the JS Kongo would destroy the remaining missiles. The JS Ariake and the JS Akenbono would also help to defend against the incoming missile rain. Although the Mk.137 launcher would not have any effect on the JY-18 missiles but is able to destroy the 2 YJ-62 missiles that were heading to the JS Kongo. Which would not be needed since all the JY-18 and the YJ-62 missiles would already have been destroyed.

This would mean that the defense against the Chinese missiles was a success. Which also mean that the JS Maya would have been able to fake launch his first attack on the Xiamen 052D Destroyer with the 10 sm6 missiles traveling at Mach 3.5 from the JS Maya.
The JS Kongo fake launching 4 Harpoon SSM and the JS Ariake and the JS Akenbono fake launching both 4 type 90 SSM.
The Second attack would also be able to fake launch on the Nanjing 052D destroyer. With the 10 sm6 missiles traveling at Mach 3.5 from The JS Maya.
The JS Kongo fake launching 4 Harpoon SSM and the JS Ariake and the JS Akenbono fake launching both 4 type 90 SSM.
Making this a total of 36 missiles being launched at the two 052D Destroyers.

With the launch of the missiles knowing that it almost would have no effect. The fleet would safe the remaining missiles for defending the ships against incoming missiles.
The fleet would prepare for a fake naval gun fight with the Chinese fleet. JS Maya would give command to change the positioning of the fleet. The JS Ariake would go on the right Side of the JS Maya. And JS Akenbono would go on the right side of the JS Kongo.
They also give the objective to destroy the enemies naval guns following with the other defense and attack weapons on the ships.
Our fleet would prepare the Otobreda 127mm/54C installed on the JS Kongo with a ±30 km effective range, The Mark 45 5-inch/54-caliber lightweight gun with a 24,1 km effective range installed on the JS Kongo and the OTO Melara 76 mm with a 20 km effective range installed on the JS Ariake and the JS Akenbono.
Once the fleet was in 24 km range the JS Maya and the JS Kongo would start shooting And on the 20 km mark the JS Ariake and the JS Akenbono with their naval guns on the Type 052C destroyer, Type 054A frigate and on the two 052D Destroyers making them unusable They all would aim at once ship at a time to destroy the naval gun before moving to another vessel. Once all naval guns would be destroyed Then they would shoot on the Vertical launch platforms installed on the front or the rear of the Chinese ships. By hitting the Vertical launch platforms it would destroy the remaining missiles in the VLS platform. Which would damage the ships and make them sink.
