This is really just a question following from my previous support ticket (https://modernnations.com/threads/intercepting-an-encrypted-conversation.2445/), Just to clarify, is it possible for countries to intercept and monitor private, classified and encrypted messages? I was under the impression that adding 'private/classified/encrypted' to a message/call means that it can't be intercepted or monitored; Australia, Owen, is the first person I've seen doing this.

Hi @Teikoku,

Yes, it is possible as long as the country monitoring the communications have an Intelligence Agency built in-game, and have posted an Operation to begin monitoring such messages. As a defender, you would be able to invest in Cyber Security to help prevent this.

The flag for Private/Encrypted/Classified is because of the rule; unless stated otherwise, everything is considered public knowledge. Flagging this means people are unable to see what is going on unless they're conducting an operation against you to monitor communications with their intelligence agencies.

Kind Regards,
Jamie
