It was cool in Athens as the morning sky lit up the ancient. The air was warm, as the pastel hue filled the city skyline. The Russian tentative Ambassador to Greece would land and find Greek diplomatic protocol officers waiting for him to be taken to the Greek Foreign Ministry.

The sleek black diplomatic convoy glided through the streets of the beautiful city, escorted by a single police car. The Ambassador could glance out of the tinted windows and take in the city's vibrancy and observe whatever he could of Greek public life. It would be communicated before the Ambasssaor arrived that in fact he would meet the Greek Government, instead of the Foreign Minister who was required to stay in Russia, and apologies conveyed in advanced.

Once inside the Ministry, Ambassador Andrey Maslov would wait to be taken to the person he would meet, with him a handful of briefed files and his two staffers who would assist him.

"Why good day to you my Russian friend," Vice-President Apollo Serterd said as he walked into the Ministry. "Sorry for being a minute late. Had to find a parking spot." He says, walking to the chair to sit on. "As the visitor, what do you want to start with?" He asks siping his water bottle.

"I can imagine, parking is a luxurious commodity, the Ambassador said with a smile. "If you permit it," the Ambassador said as he pulled out his file, "I hope that Russia and Greece can restore their full bilateral relations including Greece reopening their Embassy in Moscow, and Consulates General in Saint Petersburg and in Novorossiysk. We hope to reciprocate with reopening our Athens, and a Consulate General in Thessaloniki. I do believe we can happily discuss the foundations of a trade agreement as we would be eager to reinforce bilateral trade between our two countries.

Additionally, I've been asked to inform you that our consortium of defense exports is also eager to supply the Hellenic Armed Forces and we are hopeful you will continue to stick with Russian quality. Lastly, our investment ministry is hopeful to acquire a stake in the Port of Piraeus and provide assistance in investments to expand the Port's capacity." Lastly, I hope to learn Greece's plans for the Balkans and Eastern Mediterranean as well as its view of Russia and issues of importance with Russia.

Finishing his water, the Minister said, "We can reopen the embassy and reopen relation. And with our thoughts of Russia, we, the Greeks, don't mind Russia. But we do believe Russian gas is a good way of fueling our people. not much, but a little can go long into Greece's future." He starts to go through his papers to see for any plans. "And for the Balkens, We wish to not anger them, but we are planning for an Albanian annexation via referendum." He holds one piece of paper "We also plan on having Cyprus, but it doesn't say how."

The Russian Ambassador listened attentively as the Greek Minister spoke about reopening the embassy and strengthening relations. He nodded, as he listened. Taking a sip of his own water, the Ambassador replied, "I welcome the re-establishing diplomatic ties between our countries. The resumption of relations holds promise for mutual cooperation and understanding."

As the Minister mentioned the significance of Russian gas for Greece's energy needs, the Ambassador agreed, "Indeed, the utilization of Russian gas can contribute to the stability and development of your nation. We are open to discussing energy partnerships that can benefit our countries. I am certain that we can develop existing infrastructure and work to expand Russian gas infrastructure in Greece and hopefully expand into the wider Balkan region." The Ambassador paused as he listened to the next steps.

"As it pertains to Albania and Cyprus, the position of the Russian Federation remains in respect of the wishes of the population of the two territories and we hope that Greece will accomplish both goals peacefully. I hope your government will keep Russia informed of its decisions in the Eastern Mediterranean and the Balkans, two areas of strategic importance to Russia including our long-time allies in Serbia and Syria. I am eager to hear more about your plans for regional achievement of your goals and how Russia can develop a long-term partnership with Greece."

*The ambassador was still flipping through his papers* Thank you for the gas infrastructure. *He then stopped rustling through the papers* We were thinking of helping the Albanians with their land so they are happy for us annexing them. Maybe you can help with Serbia since it will not like Greece's expansion.

"I hope you will keep us informed of your developments in the Balkans as my Government considers them a serious area of concern to Russia including our brotherly state of Serbia. I hope that Greece will not take any action which may disrupt the balance of power in the region.

Importantly, where would Greece stand on Kosovo being reincorporate as part of Serbia and not to be allowed in a potential union with Albania if Greek were to annex her?"

*The ambassador sits back up* "I would think we would be ok with Serbia having Kosovo, only if it doesn't bother Greece with annexing Albania. If it does or starts to sabotage the action, we will help Kosovo gain independence, but we hope that doesn't happen, right?"

"The Russian Federation would not be supportive of any actions which undermine Serbia's independence or autonomy and would act against those actions decisively. I hope my Government's position on this matter is well understood.

While I can not speak on behalf of Serbia, the status of Kosovo is an important precondition which would determine Russia's decision to support Greece or not regarding Albania. Including Albania and Greece renouncing any legal right to the territory.

Furthermore, I am eager to understand Greece's position regarding the ongoing conflict in Italy as well as the Franco-Canadian War."

"Greece does not wish to take part in the Franco-Canadian war, nor a conflict involving Italy. We just want to have a peaceful time in the Balkan area of Europe. and to peacefully expand."

"However, We will see which side of "imperialism" in the Franco-Canadian war we will choose."

"That is an interesting perspective...which side of imperialism...Does your Government have any plans to deal with potential Italian interference due to their own potential claims on Albania and perhaps interest to have a role in Balkan affairs?

As far as France and Canada is concerned, the Russian Government sees the situation as demonstrating the need for more cooperation between states and I hope that we can cooperate more closely on defense relations including Greece importing Russian weapons such as the BMP2, S300, and MiG-29. Alongside other weapon systems."
