The Directorate-General for Internal Security (DGSI) is the coordinating structure of French domestic intelligence.
It protects the Republic against internal and external threats, ensures the security of its people, and safeguards high-value individuals and critical national infrastructure.

The DGSI serves as the principal internal intelligence and counter-intelligence agency of the French Republic.
Its mission is to guarantee national internal security and prevent cyberattacks, sabotage, terrorism, espionage, and any actions which by their nature could undermine or destroy the constitutional order of the Republic.
