Minister, On behalf of President Mando Safar and the people of the Arab Republic of Egypt we would like to congratulate th new leader of Ukraine for its rise to power. We are certain that such leadership is required to get a nation to prosper and grow. We saw this in Egypt, where the correct steps helped us achieve an important level of economic growth and positioned the nation in a very advantageous political position. Given the importance your nation carries, and the potential mutual benefits that we would like to invite the President of Ukraine to Cairo, for a private audience with President Mando Safar, to discuss a future partnership between both of our nations. Warm greetings to the Honorable Sadiki Aswad,

Your kind words for Ukraine are reflective of our own attitudes towards the Republic of Egypt. President Yushchenko would most happily accept your offer to meet. We look forward to relations with Egypt that are not only peaceful, but friendly as well!

However, there is still the question of when this private meeting shall occur. Given recent world events, and an email from the Belgian Minister of Foreign Affairs--which we see you were included in--we respectfully ask: how urgent are the conversations you wish to have at the private meeting?

Ukraine holds the great Arab Republic of Egypt in high esteem and we are incredibly thankful for the olive branch you have extended to us. Before we received your email we were already interested in pursuing mutually beneficial relations with Egypt! If additional countries could be included in this partnership while benefiting all parties, this would be wonderful. Like dinner with friends, the more representatives seated at the table the merrier we will be.

If the private meeting cannot be postponed until after the Brussels conference, please consider the possibility of a private phone call between the presidents, or an in person meeting with one of our ambassadors, rather than Yushchenko himself.

Minister Tarasyuk, We are happy to hear that the sentiment is mutual. There are many areas we would like like to address potential cooperation, such as trade, weapons exports and political coordination. We have indeed received a call from Belgium as well, and are talking to the on a bilateral level at the moment. The Arab Republic of Egypt agrees that the idea of a more unified block of likeminded nations could be an interesting idea. However, such a project requires time and preparation. We would need firt to have informal talks regarding the goals of such an organization, the monetary contributions we would need to make and finally, the reach and scope it has. While coordinating actions, it is key that we protect each others sovereignty and independence at the moment of taking actions. Let me talk a little bit more with the Belgium liaison we are in contact with and see what the time schedule would be for this projects.
