The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Trade of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia is the National Governmental Agency in charge of the relation between the Government and all foreign states and international organizations on a political, economical and commercial level. It also works closely with the National Office for Migration and the implementation of the visa regime through the different consulates and embassies abroad. Said Office is currently retructuring the current visa regime in roder to promote international tourism and facilitate entry to the country for business-related travellers. Until the detailed chart is published, the following guidelines need to be followed: - Travellers entering the country for tourism purposes do not require a visa. - Travellers entering the country for business purposes require a business visa, which will be free of charge and can be issued by any ethiopian consulate. - All other travellers might required a special visa, for which they would need to consult their corresponding ethiopian consulate.
