Your Excellency,

First of all, on behalf of Her Imperial Majesty the Empress of the French, I have been asked to extend France's formal congratulations towards President Sinclair on his impressive campaign and successful election to become President of the United States.

France and the United States share a relationship going back centuries, and even though in the past two years there may have not been an alliance, we still were appreciative of your cooperation in the support of the Vatican during their crisis and your role as a neutral party during the Canadian war and a guarantor of our territorial integrity against actors other than Canada.

Because of this, Her Imperial Majesty would like to see the re-establishment of a formal relationship. Should President Sinclair and your larger administration agree to this I would like to propose a meeting between your Department and our Ambassador to the United States Princess Claire of Bourbon. We are of course also open to alternative options.

Minister Dubois,

It is a pleasure to hear from you and the Her Imperial Majesty's government. Thank you for your kind message. President Sinclair gives his sincerest thanks to the Empress for her kind words. It is the hope of President Sinclair and the rest of the administration that we can begin to tackle some low hanging fruit at home and fix many problems that the country is currently facing.

France has been through a number of governments in the past years, but it is nice to see that there is finally one which the French people have accepted and has remained in place for an extended period of time. I have spoken with President Sinclair, and he would be more than happy to accept Princess Claire of Bourbon as the French Ambassador to the United States.

She is more than welcome to come to the Harry S Truman building where she can meet with a State Department representative and any number of items can be discussed.​
