Subject: Strategic Accountability Policy
Mister President,
In light of your recent clarification on the so-called 'Strategic Accountability' Policy, which we already issued a prior response to, we have unfortunately been left with no alternative but to express our formal condemnation of the continued presence of this policy.
The era of hegemonic superpowers has expired long ago. In a world where international institutions such as the Global Assembly have already brought about the eradication of nuclear weapons and actively work to defuse conflicts and resolve matters amicably, and without a clear immediate threat justifying immediate action under the provisions allowing so per international law, there is no place for a world police.
The United States' policy makes it clear that while you proclaim multilateralism on one hand, you practice world policeman on the other.
The Empire of France remains committed to multilateral dialogue and welcomes international efforts to restrict the proliferation of arms that threaten global stability. We can however not consider the United States to be acting in good faith when organizing such a dialogue while simultaneously seeking to impose its will unilaterally.
As such as long as the 'Strategic Accountability' Policy remains in place, the Empire of France will not participate in such a conference hosted by the United States.
Sincerely,
Impératrice Thérèse,
Impératrice des Français
