From: Jean Le-Pen, Minister of Foreign Affairs, France

Greetings Secretary Wallström,

I hope this message finds you well. As fellow members of the European community, France hopes we can quickly set up political and economic ties.
We would like to import mineral fuels and paper and would like to export electronic machinery and plastics to Sweden.

If this agreeable then perhaps we could arrange further economic ties down the road.

Yours,

Jean Le-Pen

Dear Jean Le-Pen,

Your unexpected and quite honourable message came as quite a shock to my office this afternoon as Sweden is often overlooked as a beneficial friend or partner. We would be most fortunate to begin a bilateral relationship with the Republic of France.

However I must mention that whilst we are a small nation in size we are not small in intelligence - your correspondence reads asthough your intention is purely to make money domestically by means of exportation of goods rather than any intent to build a strong and stable future between Sweden and France. I will forewarn you that we have no intention to open trade routes this early in our relationship, these kinds of agreements, I'm sure you already know, come with a huge amount of trust and show the strength in bond between nations.

A trade deal this early on serves no benefit to Sweden and would frankly be foolish.

If you genuinely want to cooperate with our nation and develop something unique please feel free to get back to me with a time and date for our first meeting.

I look forward to hearing from you.

Regards,
Margot Wallström

Would you care to elaborate why a message from a fellow minister of foreign affairs from a country in which a flight between our capitols takes less than three hours would be unexpected?

You say I come off as greedy in my opening message.

Well, I would have to say that in your first sentence you come off as both uninformed and irrational.

You can change my opinion by offering something "unique" that would pique my interest.

I appreciate your warning.

Win The Day.

Yours,

J. Le-Pen

Dear Jean Le-Pen,

I apologise if my correspondence came across in the wrong fashion, my surprise comes as Sweden is often overlooked in the world of bilateral relationships and development. However I must say I was saddened to see the subtext of your message which implied your intention was purely to make money from us by means of trade agreements rather than the development of a potentially strong, loyal and prosperous relationship.

Uninformed and irrational may be the two words you disguise the cloak of neutrality that covers our great kingdom but what lies within is a thriving economy, outstanding intelligence and the desire to thrive as an MEDC in a superpower-dominated global arena.

In all honesty Sweden has no intention to open agreements with a country we have never sat in the same room with, but my all means if your intentions stretch further than money then I look forward to meeting with you.

Regards,
Margot Wallström

With no further response from the Republic of France, the correspondence are stored with the Swedish Security Service and filed namely against the state.
This is done is completely privatecy and without knowledge by the French.

With nothing "unique" coming from the Swedish side as was asked of the French, in additional to the personal attacks in the last correspondence, France has ordered diplomats in the country of Sweden to keep a low profile and perhaps occasionally reach out to their Swedish counter-parts, but unless something "unique" or "special" occurs to just politely do their job.

Inside France however, surveillance patrols of Swedish diplomats will increase.
