As a country with close historical ties to the region, and with military bases and territories in the continent, France is happy to help in any way they can. We'd also like to know the current situation in the region to help develop our policy there."

"The situation in The Congo is tragic. The Federal Government has made it publicly, and abundantly, clear that we condemn this invasion by the Democratic Republic of The Congo. The Federal Government is open to considering international efforts to deploy peacekeepers to the conflict zone, or to intervene militarily in The Congo directly... The international order is very unorganized right now, and I fear that is because of the disorganization of the Global Assembly right now," Secretary Fitzgerald said.
