Honourable Ambassadors,

With the passing of [A/R/0006] Resolution on the Romanian Crisis, the Office of Security & Peace Operations has been tasked with organising the Global Assembly's Peacekeeping Force Romania (GAPFOR-Romania). This operation has been mandated to maintain a demilitarised zone between the borders of Romania and Moldova to prevent any further and future escalations of violence.

I call on all nations willing to participate in the operation to inform my office (in this thread) of your intention to participate and the units you are able to offer to the deployment. Upon the selection of a Force Commander, appointed by the Secretariat of the Global Assembly, details of the operation will be forwarded to participating states.

The Republic of Spain already has some experience with being a Force Commander for the UN, even if the previous GAPFOR was a partial success due to unforeseen circumstances regard the dissolution of the Zimbabwe Government. As such we would also like to put forward the same Spanish Leadership for this new peacekeeping force to maintain the temporary DMZ between Romania and Moldova. We will also participate with various forces including Air,Ground, Naval and engineering. However their size will have to be agreed upon with the Spanish Armed Forces.

We thank the Global Assembly, and you Mr. Undersecretary of Security & Peace Operations for your swift action and support.

The Republic of Korea hopes that its contributions to this upcoming peacekeeping mission are in order with the mission requirements, experience needed, and support personnel required. At this stage, the ROK Army is able to contribute 320 ground personnel to this mission. The ROK Air Force is also ready to provide assistance through its helicopter fleet if necessary to the mission. The ROK Army is in the process of acquiring ground vehicles and personal anti-air equipment and shall be if ready at the disposal of ROK GA-Peacekeepers if applicable to the stated mission goal. We likewise thank the Global Assembly, for their action, as well as the Republic of Spain in ending the current crisis and wish to show our commitment to global peace and stability.

Her Majesty's Government has expressed the interest in offering personnel and equipment from the British Armed Forces to support the Peacekeeping operations between Romania and Moldova with the prospect of deploying aircraft to support the air enforcement area and ground assets as required, we are open to negotiating with the assigned Commander of GAPFOR Romania to work on what is required but we would also like to endorse the Spanish Government as the GAPFOR Commander due to their initial involvement in securing peace between the two countries. I hope you take this into consideration.
