DH Saran would be driven the 5km from the External Affairs Building, in the heart of New Delhi, to the Australian Embassy in New Delhi. His vehicle would pull up to the security gate, and his entourage would follow any directions requested of them by the Australian security team.

The Australian Embassy would have quite a large compound behind a large thick wall. There would be a singular security guard sitting on a chair under a parasol next to the main gate infront of the security office. He would see the Minister's motorcade arrive. He would enter the security office and open the main gate. The Ambassador would receive the Minister at the front building, which was different to the main building, at least according to Google Maps.

"Mr. Saran, a pleasure to meet you." He would shake his hand and take him through the main building and into the main courtyard, sprawling with peacocks before taking him to the extravagent mansion inside the compound which would have reception rooms and the like. They would sit down in a drawing room.

"I hope you enjoy our sprawling property we have here in New Delhi."

Department Head Saran would say, "Thank you, Ambassador McCarthy, for meeting with me." He would then return the handshake, and would follow the Australian Ambassador through the main building and courtyard.

After sitting down in the drawing room, DH Saran would reply, "Yes, Ambassador McCarthy, it is a very pretty piece of land. I believe this was built in the 1960s? That makes it nearly as old as me."

"What would you like to discuss Mr. Saran?" He would sit there staring him blank in the eye.

Department Head Saran would respond, "Relations between Australia and the Gandhi Empire. Specifically, trade and economic relations."

He would stop and take a breath for a second. "We have recently signed a limited trade deal with Thailand, and we wish to do the same with Australia. This could be involve areas like manufacturing, resources and minerals. Please, Mr. McCarthy, let me know what you think."

"Well Mr. Saran we haven't had much contact between Australia and the....."

He would cough.

"Gandhi..... Empire.

But I'm sure we can come to some agreement. It wouldn't be free trade per se but it could be some sort of agreement. Though it will need to be signed between Australia and India so the agreement can be ongoing if.... when your country decides to return to some sort of sani-.... return to normal."

Department Head Saran would stare, bored, at McCarthy as he blatently insulted the Gandhi Empire.

"It's 'Department Head', Ambassador, not just 'Mister'. And I understand english well enough to know that you were going to say 'sanity' there, not 'return to normal'. This is quite insulting and highly inappropriate, as you should know. It's as if I said that Australia should become a republic. But I'm not going to do that, because our diplomatic office requires of us to take accountability for our words and actions. Well," Saran would think for a second, "Those of us that aren't elected, do. I honestly hope you can apologise for what you have said and implied."
